You can not (or at least should not) be offended by racist comments when you're part of a majority. I know if someone directed a racist comment at me, I wouldn't be the least bit offended. It's different if you're part of a minority. You're wrong anyway, because the law on discrimination is equally applicable to all races.

I struggle to see why anyone does like JT... All he does is argue with every official and try and wind up opposition so that they get so frustrated the JT demands the ref to send them off.

He is an argumentative p*** and the fact that he is getting prosecuted with more than enough evidence hits that he is looking very guilty!

Never liked him and never will.

    A disgrace to football!

Yes,but it wouldn't be such a big deal if Ferdinand made a rasicst remark to Terry,no one would take much notice of it.Anyway,Ferdinand hasn't complained about it it's just the press that have made such a big deal about it.

And it shouldn't be as big a deal. If a black man called me a "honky" or "cracker" or any other racial slur for white people, I'd laugh it off. It's not seen as being nearly as offensive, and rightly so.

I imagine Ferdinand would have stepped up and said nothing happened if that was the case.

You are jumping to conclusions,I think you need to look at the evidence and you can then see that he isn't a rascist.
1-He plays in a team with a lot of black players(chelsea)
2-Plays in the premier league where there are a lot of black players...

Adam, how would you know if Anton Ferdinand made a formal complaint to the police.

Maybe that is the reason the police are involved and not the FA. Ferdinand took it higher and seriously but was smart enough to get on with the job in hand first which was the match. <doh>

    You just don't know!

But if you call a black person the "n word" then it offends them and you're considered a rascist. This all seems a bit silly to me to be honest, nothing like this has happened in the last 20 years or so,so why would it suddenly happen now?I think that both of them probably said things in the heat of the moment that they shouldn't of said. This happens all the time in football, two players hurl abusive language(not rascist) at each other on the pitch then they are great mates off it,it has happened to me and many of other people(friends and people I know). It's football.

Adam, calm down and look at the evidence.

    - He is facing profiting for allegedly using racist comments to Anton Ferdinand
    - Not one of his team mates have come out to defend him
    - Footage of him saying those comments is being blurred out meaning that there is something obviously meant to be showing loud and clear
    - Police said two months ago there was more than enough evidence
    - Anton Ferdinand has done the sensible thug and taken his company straight to the police where they will act properly rather than the FA.
He clearly feels there was something aimed at him and he obviously feels angered by this and rightly so.

And the only defence Terry has is him saying "I didn't do it..."

But why isn't "honky" considered an offensive word?

    Regarding the 'team' situation:

No black player has come out to defend him.

Not every player in every team likes each other.

Like us they are essentially just people they work with, they aren't necessarily friends off the field.

For example incouldnt see Ivanovic anging out with Sturridge off the field <ok>

Hold up your argument for Terry not being a racist is the fact that he plays in a team with black players and he plays in a league with black players. This has equal sway as, he lives in a road that black people live in as well or he lives in a city with black people.

    Wake up man.

So you're saying that Ferdinand went to the police??[/QUOTE]

I'm saying it is a strong possibility <ok>

    The FA haven't been involved.

Who's to say he didn't go the police to make the complaint, the police look into it, see the evidence and now he is being prosecuted for it.

    A. Ferdinand comes across as a decent guy so he wouldn't do it if he didn't hear something <ok>

Ahhh here it is,you are just assuming that.
I don't know who is right or wrong here,I just don't think that JT is a rascist.
