Might have to do the way injuries are mounting at the back. Thought he did well after getting booked. Was worried he will go in again and get sent off.

    Nope. he's fairly quick.

He's 20, Captain of his National side and has been instrumental in some of our best wins over the last 12 months.

Also.. have to agree though Coquelin looked a little out of his depth at right back.

Whipping boy ?? Its only in the past 2 seasons Song has looked anything near a professional footballer, some of you rate him, I don't, but that's not my point, you can't calling him a whipping boy because he was that bad !! Same goes for Walcott who, incidentally, I don't think is anywhere near the player he is made out to be by some, he is inconsistent and makes poor decisions far too often. The saving grace for Walcott in my view is he is being asked to play in a position that isn't natural for him.

Walcott as a striker however .. my opinion of him changes massively, he is a completely different player and one that I would love to see get his chance.

I have to add that I don't think Ramsey is slow at all, he may not be the quickest but he is far from the slowest. I think Ramsey is good enough for Arsenal, maybe he shouldn't be playing every game, but he definitely is a good player and will get better. I have time for any player who is happy to shoot with either foot instinctively.

And what about Demba Ba ?? My gosh he is on fire .. I think he just priced himself out of a move to the Arsenal :)

Demba Ba in January? Would be a typical Wenger Signing - I think he'd be around £14m, and WOULDN'T BE CUP TIED! Proven goals in the Prem too, and I think he'd be happy being second fiddle to Van Persie. I'd have the feeling that Van Persie would move over to Gervi's wing slot in his absence, and Ba in the middle, walcott on the other side, brilliant!

Indeed. This one is with his weaker foot.

This really annoys me on here. Any time any player looks good, some people start talking about signing them.

This, for instance. Demba Ba has been at Newcastle for 6 months. He's obviously not going anywhere. It's annoying.

I don't buy the arguments about Ramsey not being good enough one bit. I think some people aren't happy unless they've got a scapegoat to whinge about.

We've seen it all before with, Flamini, Eboue, Koscielney, Mertesacker and even RVP in the past. All of these players have proved their doubters wrong.

Ramsey is a class act, anyone who doesn't see that is lacking footballing insight in my opinion.

for as long as he qualifies his statement with " in my opinion " i think your response is incorrect .

MY opinion is that some of our players , not many , are not pulling their weight and need to be ....."ahem " rested , as an incentive to improve.

Others that dont need to improve and consistently perform are sat warming the bench.

    Total rubbish PISKIE !

When was Flamini made a scapegoat ? He hardly played before he got his chance in the season we got the the CL final and was played out of position as a LB and did fantastically well. I don't remember anyone saying he was crap.

People only said Eboue was crap when he was played as a LM - because he was crap. As a RB he was great in my eyes.

Last season Koscielny was mediocre - there is no scapegoating, if someone is ****e then they are ****e, call a spade a spade bloke. The same goes for Merts, Walcott, Diaby, Squillaci and Arshavin. Walcott would have 1 good game and 4 bad games.

The only part of your post I agree with is that people who can't see the class in Ramsey lack footballing insight, I'd agree with that. Before his leg break he was playing bloody good football for us regularly.

Eboue was not a good right back, that is why wenger went out and bought sagna, because eboue could not be trusted and was poor defensively. As for kos, people forget that all last season he had to partner squillaci or djourou who are both donkeys. I said last year that kos was the best CB we had, and I still believe that.

Kos took a long time to adjust to PL from second rate league he had played in.

He did take a while, but he's proved that he's got what it takes.

    agreed.
I also think Ramsey is class - but he needs a break - pressure to live up to Nasri & Fabregas is possibly making him try too much.

It's been a big ask of Ramsey and I think he's done really well. He's got a bright Arsenal future. The comments about him being **** and needing to go on loan are total bollocks in my opinion. He does look tired and I think he's deserved a break. The next few games would be a good opportunity to rotate Ramsey, Benayoun and Rosicky.
