What has complicated this, Fan, is your rigid use of the English language. You seem to associate 'pain' with physical, and 'suffering' with mental. But the 2 are interchangeable. I meant the same thing by both, ie any kind of misery, either physical or mental. No what has complicated this is your unwillingness to set the boundaries by supplying a definition for what you mean. For me pain can exist without suffering I am using the right words Fan, trust me. Ignoring pain doesnt mean it goes away either. Religious people often tend to bury their heads in the sand in this way. You're not dealing with loss simply by saying 'it's god's will'. I didnt say ignore pain, and i didnt mention it goes away either. Religious people can be as bad as anyone when dealing with painful situations but this is usually a weakness imo. as is blaming the world/god etc for something you cannot change for me it is gods will, and accepting that is a far better way than blaming, that is just anger I defined it very clearly Fan. You're pretending it's unclear because you can't answer it. No you told me to look in the dictionary, so did not define it it in anyway. maybe because you couldnt answer it or were wrong Sorry Fan, but what a load of bollocks. If I lost a child, and some idiot tried to offer that as consolation, I'd tell them to **** right off. Anyone who accepted that would either have to be a cult member or simply be a bit weird and not feel the loss of their child that badly. Thats just anger and may I suggest a sense of powerlessness. Its not unusual for people to strike out when they feel thay are not in control thing is loss of a child is of course painful, so is a grandparent/parent or other family member depending on your relationship with them, how you deal with it is the key. Your way just suggests anger and lack of control to me. Truth is there is nothing you could/can do. some things are above our understanding **** me Fan, you're being anal in the extreme here. Surely pain and suffering are problems for those affected by them? You're being very obtuse. Well you tend to start nit picking and focussing on words, so I just want to be clear from the start. Suffering and problems are 2 totally different things for me. I have certain problems at certain times but not necessarily suffer from them Sorry Fan, but I can't properly answer that without being insulting. Suffice to say I don't agree. never mind you would be wrong anyway
rantings that have never been changed rantings which have challenges that no one has been able to meet You do know Mary was between 12 - 14 when she had Jesus right? and you do know the whole lineage from the mother and not the father was made up by Jews?
No The Romans didn't convert from pagans to Christians until several hundred years after the birth of Christianity. Why would they have any interest in changing the writings of a small rebellious people that posed less military threat to them than Carthage/Macedonia/Egypt
The changes made in the bible were not necessarily made by external powers, but internal to make it more 'acceptable' Remember Jesus only came to take people back onto the path of moses as they had strayed
FWNN There is no gawd.I like you but you fool yourself with this ****.When your dead you're dead FACT.
before the 1947 discovery of the dead sea scrolls the main text of the Hebrew Bible in use was that which was standardised by a group of Jews working in the eighth and ninth centuries who were known as Masoretes, from a Hebrew word meaning "tradition". The dead sea scrolls had writings that were a 1000 years earlier
Typical defending of a *****phile because you want to believe in a particular religion The first two statements by you are laughable nonsense The second two statements aren't used by Jews in their arguments against Christianity (which indicates they are false) In any event Mohammed claimed to be a prophet of the Jewish/Christian God and yet was guilty of murder/sex with children/rape/anti-Semitism/theft/deceit My signature says it all
I believe there is IG no reason to fall out IMO, we disagree and that is all there is to it. I have researched it and for me there is no doubt.
