Vuckic was sensational today, looked a real threat when going forward. I think for the Bolton game we should have Tiote and Cabaye in the middle and Vuckic in the hole just off Demba Ba. What do you guys think? Could he play that role effectively or is he a Central Midfielder?

He's not a CM at present, definitely an attacking midfielder. I'd rather play Ben Arfa from the off against Bolton, but if he's not up to it for whatever reason, I'd give Vuckic the run out behind Ba.

Although he was a little naive today and didn't exactly benefit from playing with a sub-par Tiote he was one of our shining lights and definitely deserves to be in the reckoning. Looks to have a very good attacking brain, decent power and pace along with a sledgehammer of a left foot. I thought exactly the same myself as I was fairly sure this was his position anyway. He certainly looked poor defensively today - his positional sense all over the place - and I suppose that's understandable.

It's an option worth looking at.

Vuckic was class today but I have another idea: we play Ben Arfa in the 'Ben Arfa role'.

I thought he was decent going forward. But as a CM the game passed him by a hell of a lot.

    Would be happy seeing:

    Krul
    Simpson Williamson Colo Santon
    HBA Cabaye Tiote Jonas
    Vuckic
    Ba

Until we get a good right mid.

Get Ben Arfa in on the wing. Jonas and Obertan are poor and not good enough.

He showed tonight that he is not a centre mid, but I was very impressed with his input. He had 4 quality efforts and was unlucky not to score!

He definatly should play behind Ba with cabaye replacing best. Although Ben arfa played well too when he came on.

I don't care as long as we beat bolton

Would def disagree with Jonas not being good enough! He was very good again I thought today... As soon as Raylor came on it restricted what he could do though. Genuinely think Jonas and a good quality LB would be a potent partnership down that side

Sorry mate but I thought Jonas was ****e. Far too greedy and never passed to Santon. Had a decent last 10 minutes but we needed a good 90 with Cabaye missing and he didn't give that.

His ball to ba was so close to being a great ball. Glad to see him start and for me he should start alongside cabaye. Tiote was shocking today. Can't drop vuckic after that display and keep tiote playing imo

I usually love Jonas but he pissed me off today quite a bit. It seemed to slip his mind on many occasions in the first half that he was in fact playing with Santon and not Raylor, just kept ignoring Santon's overlaps all the time.

Or we could have two attacking mids? Lika a narrow 4-3-3. Seeing as the hoofball tactic clearly doesnt work, this might be better.

    ---------------------Krul------------------
    Simmo-----Perch/Willo----Colo------Santon
    --------Cabaye----Tiote-----Jonas--------
    ----------Ben Arfa-------Vuckic-----------
    --------------------Ba--------------------

Vuckic was impressive tonight, he's got a great left foot on him, thought he was unlucky not to score.

I shall wield out the 4-2-3-1...

    Krul
    Simpson Williamson Coloccini Santon
    Tiote Cabaye
    Vuckic Ben Arfa Jonas
    Ba

Vuckic in off the right and having a pop = very nice!

He seems to have the left foot of Robert!

Other than those strikes he really didn't make an impact on the game, he does seem to be someone who would be best played in as a AM in a 5 man midfield

Did make some good runs and a couple of good through balls mind. His passing was good as well. I look forward to seeing more of the lad.

He's clearly not a CM, which is why I wanted him off at half time. AM though, he looks quality and set to have a big future if that's his full debut!
