What what? VAR decision favours celtic? Colour me shocked!
Unconvinced about the penalty... had he not given it then I doubt it would be upgraded. Having given it, quelle surprise, it's difficult to call it an obvious error.
Absolute **** show, the whole thing stinks.
Sadly, I think it was a penalty according to the wording of the law, but the wording is plainly stupid. There's no way that whoever wrote it ever played the game - the defender did nothing wrong, he simply slid in to block a cross and the ball struck his hand from a yard or so away. One in the category of 'What was he supposed to do, keep his hands in his pockets?'

Surely the law is or should be ball to hand no penalty, hand to ball penalty, I have seen penalties NOT GIVEN for that kind of contact

Referee reckons he blew the full time whistle... as the SFA aren't going to investigate, perhaps UEFA can. Similar scenes in Europe last weekend, saw a 3-2 win reversed to a 0-3 defeat.

Referee did not blow his whistle for full time, he blew for the goal but the game could not restart because of the pitch invasion and the police ordered the Hearts players and staff off the pitch for their safety, the game technically has not finished

If you remember when Deeney scored the goal of the century there was a pitch invasion and the referee waited until everyone was back in the stands then blew for the game to restart allowed about a minute then blew up for full time

If the Police confirm they took Hearts off the pitch for safety reasons then it should be a replay without fans or a default to Hearts and there should be heavy sanctions against Celtic next season whatever action is taken or not taken for this game

Certainly seems to be a lot of apologies going around.

Even more with VAR than ever as presumably one set of refs see things differently than others .

Clearly VAR is used too subjective and only creates more doubt and confusion.

D Day for Southampton. Personally I'm hoping for the harshest sanction - to set a precedent to stop this from happening again. Kick them out and let Boro take their place. A fine will only benefit EFL coffers, and a points deduction imposed by the EFL doesn't have to be applied by the EPL.
