Me and my 2 sons are out. I know it’s emotions at the moment but this is a colossal **** up. I’d imagine Spors and Tonda will be gone and Dragan now has to look to sell. Has made me really doubt my love for football and this club under the is ownership. One embarrassment to another and it gets worse each time
Though I'm also upset that they did this, this is a genuine drop in the ocean to the absolute ****show of countless corrupt owners that the EFL and PL + football in general wave through into ownership roles. That's a fact - SR don't even register on the scale - if this is Tonda and his analysts, I still am not holing SR responsible until I've heard the facts. There is a chance they were not aware - in which case they can be held up for slack oversight, but not for encouraging cheating.

I support this club and always will, because it isn't about a single ownership or group of players. But I am most upset about the fact Tonda (or whoever ends up being responsible) did not have the belief in this set of unbelievable players to do this job in pure footballing terms, and felt they had to support it further by sending people along to film training sessions with an iPhone. This was hands down the best squad in the Championship from January onwards, and it was going to the Premier league, and now who knows what will happen, but am not confident it's going to look anything like the season we've just had.

If we hadn't had a cup run, I think we would have done it via the automatics too - why oh why could we not have spied on our PL cup opponents, so that we could have lost to them early on and focused on just getting up?!

Anyway. Really really glad I swapped one shift for two in order to get Saturday off. The money for Wembley and the semi final wants to be back in my account by close of business tomorrow.

Good night all

They obviously aren’t going to say or do anything publicly until the appeal is done
100%. Does anyone not want them to appeal? I want them to, and if that means no statement, then so be it. I increasingly blame the EFL and even PL here - and the money and inequality in the game, the completely disproportionate balance between teams that is driven by a corrupt league system that favours a big 6, that allows teams to sell hotels and women's teams to themselves, that allows academy players to be sold between clubs for massively over-inflated fees to bypass FFP, and creates such a massive divide between haves and have-nots that it creates the drive for teams to try everything within their power to gain a marginal edge off the pitch. We haven't got a head ref on our payroll, but Barcelona did; we haven't broken financial rules to cheat the system, but Forest, Everton, and Leicester did, as have Manchester City - and their ownership are all massively celebrated for doing so.

I'm massively pissed off with whoever knew about this and allowed it to go on, I feel as sad for the players as I do for the fans (including myself - this weirdly feels close to a bereavement), but I do also still want them to appeal, as unlikely as it is to have a positive impact. Everyone would be moaning at them if they didn't and just rolled over - it can't be denied that we made a horrendous decision here, nor that we broke the rules, but it is a fact that this is a hugely disproportionate punishment and an opportunity taken to punish the right kind of team they can make an example of.

Just a quick general post from a baffled, annoyed Hull City fan at the whole fiasco going on here.

What is the general consensus on Harwood-Bellis amongst the fans?

His conduct was daft, like a kid in that second leg. ****housery or crossing a line?

All the best anyways you lot, it’s not youse who have cheated, the club has cheated you fans, and you all have a right to be angry at them. God bless

Well what a day. I’ll be honest when I saw the decision it hit me like a ton of bricks. Had a bit of time to digest and to be honest I’m pretty disgusted with the management of the club. Really don’t care about the appeal tomorrow as we are cheats, and will be labelled as cheats for a good time to come.
I WILL not be spending my money on the club next season as at the moment I feel done with football as a whole. It’s becoming the most corrupt game around where the elite do what they want and in the main get away with it, and the competitive side of it is becoming laughable. But that does not take away what my club has done this season, they have shamed the name the integrity and the fans of this once great club.
Tonight Southampton, you’ve broken my heart of something I’ve believed in and loved for almost 50 years.
Good night.

I personally feel tonight isn't the time to finally give up on football or supporting this club - if people are upset with cheating going on, they should never have started following football in the first place or supporting one of the top 25 teams in the country. It's existed as long as the game. I'm sure I can probably count the number of teams in the league who've never spied on one hand - same as I can count the number of teams who've been caught and/or punished for it on the same hand.

I certainly don't think of Leeds as cheats, and they admitted doing it more times than us - just because it wasn't in the playoffs and they didn't go up that season, doesn't mean they didn't have the same objective to win the £200m jackpot. And I've been willing them to survive the drop in the PL all season. I still love Bielsa.

If we'd have admitted the same three spying cases, as we have and the EFL slapped us with a fine and a -4 next league season we play in the Championship, but our place in the playoff final still stood, people would be celebrating and wouldn't be tearing up our season tickets, nor asking for Tonda or SR to go. That I feel is pretty much a fact. It's still the same ethical crux, just a more favourable outcome.

He's always been a player that you want to have on your team, but hate playing against. I think he was being a sh*thouse, and I don't believe he or any of the other players knew about the managements actions.

He probably had 4 days of listening to the media and fans bashing the management team and fellow players (before we knew the truth) and did it in the heat of the moment.

Nah, if Tonda was involved, simply put ... **** him. Get him gone. I dont want him in my club.

The season, and all the memories, are ruined and tainted thanks to some very selfish idiotic decision makers in the club.

Of course, we dont know the facts but sounds like Tonda, Spors and Salt are the 3 names at risk.
Please no, not Salt. Don't care about the rest, but we've got to somehow try to keep hold of him! <laugh>

Given that most on here (including me) think that it’s been happening way more than they’re admitting, the question is, is he that good without the spying?
I would enjoy a Scooby Doo finish to this scandal and an answer to your question, with Steve Gibson pulling off the Tonda mask to reveal Will Still underneath.

Of course today of all days the site crashed ffs <laugh>

@brb you should know I've instructed my lawyers to immediately bring legal proceedings on this, and I will personally be pushing for the harshest possible sanctions of you losing your supermod privileges and being banished to the Isle of Sheppey.

Additionally if my 246 refreshes since 7am count as hits for the site I will expect a percentage of advertisement income for the next 3 months as compensation.

I will make no further comment on the matter (except possibly to the Daily Mail).

Firstly if we got kicked out , I wanted you to go straight up . Boro don’t deserve the chance IMHO .

Ref THB , even Ayling didn’t want to pursue it .

Aaaaaaaand we're back. Is it still a ****show or have we progressed to clusterfuck territory?

My favourite part so far is that Ipswich trained at Eastleigh so we sent somebody in Eastleigh training gear...

Which makes it massively believable that Tonda didn't know it was wrong <laugh><doh>

Incredibly poor to drag Eastleigh into it like that.
