If it takes 3 wise men ages to make a decision how come the second lot can do it in 24 hours.

The 3 wise men convened today and made a decision today. The rest of the time was due process for investigation and evidence submission, wasn't it?

Southampton have admitted their guilt, they'll not be appealing the infraction, just the punishment.

Hence it should be sorted tomorrow.

They might get next season's points deduction reduced or suspended, but if the panel thought there was a realistic chance the disqualification could be successfully appealed as disproportionate, then they are unlikely to have issued that as a penalty in the first place.

It could get more interesting yet,
From Sky website.
Wrexham, who finished the regular season seventh, are believed to be monitoring the situation. Sky Sports News understands they will not make a decision on any possible action until after the appeal hearing.

Not a 'retrial', of guilt or not, an appeal against whether the process to make the decision outcome / penalty imposed was within the rules discretion given to the panel. In essence did they follow the facts of the process given and where they permitted under the rules to expell Southampton and give a future points penalty.

Maybe they should recalculate the table and exclude all Southampton matches?
