Whew. 1-0 win. One game closer to the title.

Regardless of how this season ends, we simply cannot go into next season playing like this. We need to widen the margins and show more technical proficiency and security, especially in tense moments. We might well win the title this season, but there's a lot of work to do in the Summer.

Honourable mentions to Rice, Mosquera, Saliba and Gabriel, who were all monstrous. Gyokeres made a huge difference when he came on too.

Havertz needs a bollocking, he could have easily gone from hero to villain if VAR had decided to intervene to give him a red card - which they probably should have done.

I thought Rice was absolutely ****.
Too slow, crap execution on passes and set pieces.
One of the worst games I have seen him play and he’s had a lot of stinkers this year mixed in with the good performances.

Havertz apart from the foul was excellent.
His ability to find pockets of space is second to none.

I actually think the title is decided tomorrow.
City win and they will go on to be champions
Draw and we ARE champions.

draw and we are defo champions

Even if City win, they still have to better our result on the last day

Villa are in good form too

Villa will offer nothing. Emery is their manager. He won’t care, in fact the kind of character he has, he’ll want City to win.

I think us beating Palace away from home is a long shot - 25% chance maybe.

Really thinks it comes down to tomorrow result.

No he won’t <laugh>

I think it will be a tough game at Palace for sure. But if we have to go there and win, then I think we can do it

Of course, this can all be made a lot easier on our blood pressure if Bournemouth get a result tomorrow

He played well tonight Havertz.

Both in attack and defence

Scored the winning goal too and has given us massive chance to win the tirle

Hothead chats a lot of ****in nonsense on here all because he hates arteta.
I don't like Arteta correct, but I don't chat nonsense. I bet you agree with Arteta that we played a top defensive team yesterday loooooool!! The people that chat **** are you and Arteta.

Havertz played well, looool, he was ****. Yes he scored, that doesn't excuse his performance. Missed a sitter in the first half, was not on the wavelength of anyone else in the first half, kept dropping to the centre circle or to the touchline so was hardly in position making things easy for their CBs.

I like Havertz so nobody can accuse me of being biased, but he was lucky to stay on the pitch after that tackle which was a certain red card!!

But yeah, according to you he had a good game lol.

Dude that eas one of the worst game I have seen Mosquera have, he was an utter liability

We’re losing the title on the last day IMO
We will see.

Got to say again, the behaviour of our players in the last 5 mins was so embarrassing.
We had players cheering to the crowd with 3 minutes left because we got a goal kick.
It’s just an obvious tell that their brains are scrambled and they are in total panic.
Lack of composure under fire.
Doing stupid things.
Dude that was a game against the ****test team in the league, Crystal Palace - a London derby - is gonna be so much more difficult. Its hard to see how we win that game if we play anything like we did last night.

****ing eejut Arteta and his **** decisions. I don't even mind Havertz starting over Gyok, but Odegaard over MLS are you ****ting me???

And Bear I think it was claims its not that the top teams are **** its that the **** teams are better. Loooooool !!!

Look at the hard work we made of that game because we were so ****, what did Burnley do that made them better?? Both us and City got 1-0 wins in our last games against Burnley - a team that have amassed 4 wins all season !!!!

But but but they have been better, gweh with that nonsense.

You have some bias going on.
Havertz played really well actually and won us the game.
He made a stupid tackle which tarnished it, but if we go on to win the league, we will remember that Havertz goal.
Big moment, big player.

You know since Havertz returned ... 10 G+A in 931 minutes of football ... after a year out injured. A goal or assist every 93 mins (thats a rate that returns 40-45 goals or assists in a season)

Gyokeres's rate this year is a Goal or assist every 143 mins and you've praised him.

As a benchmark - Haaland who gets chance after chance at City in a team that creates more chances than anyone has a goal or assist every 88 minutes, only slightly better than Havertz' rate since he came back.

Burnley are a top 50 club in the whole of Europe.
It’s that simple.
Lots of resources and professional coaching means they can, and do, execute a low block that is tough for any team to break down.

Anyone who thought it would be a walkover was dreaming.
It was always 50/50 on whether we’d get the win.

You do chat nonsense.

You were slagging Arteta off before the game for picking Havertz and he ended up winning the game for us.

He played well, dropping back into MF isn't a weakness, it's his game. We were a bit unlucky not to be 2 or 3 up at HT. Trossard hitting the post, Saka bending one just wide. It's not always about launching it to a big forward man.

Yes Havertz was lucky not to see red, that doesn't distract from the rest of his contribution

And yes, Burnley were good last night, they made it difficult for us and defended well.

You just don't see what's in front of your eyes, because you're blinded by your hatred for Arteta

Don't be silly.

City won't beat Bmouth and even if they do, Palace have a cup final three days after playing you, not a chance they give 100%.

You've won it, just enjoy the moment (although TBF enjoying your football is impossible).

We haven't won anything yet.

Hopefully Bournemouth can take points off of City tonight and then it's done.

They are in great form, but so are City.

None of this is a given yet.

There were 3 penalties not given to Arsenal

1) on Saka - there is debate over it but the fact is that Saka was just about to sweep the ball into the net and the defender just placed his foot between the ball and Saka's motion to strike the ball.
2) clear and deliberate hand ball - Burnley defender moved his hand toward the ball in order to stop Saka's pass going through to Odegaard. replays showed the moved ment of the hand TO the ball clearly.
3) the most obvious of all - the goal keeper foul on Gyokeres. Gyokeres gets the ball first, keeper doesn't get the ball at all and bundles Gyokeres over, hooking his leg.

Seen all 3 of those incidents given regularly and far more often than not.

So a focus on the Havertz foul and whether it was strong enough to warrant red card is rather myopic.

You lot are ****ing hilarious; top of the league with one game to go, in a CL final - and you’re not enjoying any of it <laugh>

Do you know what most football fans would give to be in your position? If you’re players are as wobbly as you lot, you’re ****ing doomed…
