Quite agree. But, as I said on another thread, I can see them hanging about for years. The modern day Wimbledon.

don't think any fan enjoys watching them, and don't think player's enjoy going against them.

that said, they ain't going anywhere. tho, like you, wish they would.

I couldn't care how a team plays, if we happened to play like that you would have no problem! For me I couldn't care how we play as long as we play to our strengths, and Stoke play to their strengths. You're probably only moaning cos' they beat us anyway!

I see Delap has scored. Are you allowed to throw it in?

No reason why not. Cup games are one-offs, and their style can beat anyone on its day. Still wouldn't want Sunderland to play like it.

Last match the ball was constantly hoofed up to Gyan, only difference with Stoke is they score goals like that, we don't.

I think that "last match", everyone would agree. However, you can't base everything on that, horrible as it was.

They do take it to a ridiculous level of hoofing though. Its like they cannot score without it being from a throw in or a set piece. Its unbelievable the % of goals they get that way

We never seem to play it out of defence, when Gyan does knock it down admittedly we play some good stuff, the problem is though he rarely ever wins the header.

There's been quite a few posts on here lately from people saying that we've actually been playing some of our best football of the season lately, albeit with crap results. Some of the inter-play against Spurs was a joy. Just shows that we all see the game differently.

Not denying that. We've been playing some great football, my problem is the defenders rarely play it out of defence, which makes it hard for us to get an attack going.

I hate their style, but it works! It's just how we played a couple of seasons ago (but we weren't as good from set pieces!)

They still beat us though, that is the most frustrating thing about it!

They've beaten quite a few and, on its day, it's very effective - not tonight though. Irrespective of anything else, it's ****ing boring and horrible to watch.

would have loved it if vela had stuck that last chance away. i don't have much against stoke per se, their fans are a good lot by and large, though i'd gouge my eyes out if i had to watch that week-in-week-out, but i can't stand huth. he's a filthy, dirty thug with no conscience. that cynical foul at the end there, and then waving his arms around like he was innocent?? i ****ing hate him. made me sick to see the bastard score against us.

Billy, that's funny. Wrote almost exactly the same thing to a pal of mine who likes Huth. Actually, looks like a cut and paste. I guess that means I agree he's a FILTHY DIRTY THUG!
