Certainly stops the Ajayi/Hughes debate.

Wear'em down for an hour then bring on the quick lads?

Well we've struggled to fill the no.10 position all season so ... we play without one ! Just hope Giles hammy holds up as he and Coyle are being asked to do a hell of a lot of legwork in that formation. Not convinced tbh, but in Serj we trust.

Im nervous because I thought our biggest strength on Friday was how the full backs dealt with their wingers

Absolutely the right call to change it. It would have been a mistake to go into the return leg doing things the same way as the first. We really didn’t create enough in the first and with how Millwall play, they really do nullify the 10 position.

If we win, everyone will say Serj is a genius. If we lose, people will criticise him saying he was wrong to change formation.

The simple fact is, with how we’ve been playing, a change like this needed to have happened tonight. Glad he’s made it.

if we are bringing in a 5th defender i think Mcnair is unlucky to miss out I think he's been great
I agree. I actually had a suspicion over the weekend that he’d go to a back three/five so their big striker isn’t given as much freedom. However, I was hoping McNair would come in. I think McNair is one of our best centre-backs and I’d start him ahead of both Ajayi and Egan so I don’t know why he doesn’t get as many minutes.

Only reason I can think of is the physical side of things, they've brought Ajayi in to match that physicality, but obvs he has a mistake in him, with Hughes and Egan either side it gives us a bit of cover. I do agree, footballing wise McNair is superior, but not physically
