If either set of players is not already motivated 100%, then I’d be surprised.

As for the fans, well, the same goes.

I don't believe there is a maximum limit to motivation, something can always add extra no matter how small. It's not a finite thing imo.

Buster Douglas was almost certainly already super motivated to become heavyweight champion of the world, but the death of his mother 3 weeks before definitely gave him a little bit extra.

Maybe. But then there’s probably also a chance of being too motivated.

Flynn Downes being too motivated, would worry me, for example.

Does anyone know if when the EFL drafted this rule they attached a punishment?

Or is it the classic football thing of making it up as they go along.

Yeah that's a good point and definitely agree.

Think this cements that our plan should be to weather the first 15-20 minutes without conceding and then try and come into the game as the crowd dies down.

Definitely make more of an occasion of both games anyway.

Agreed. I'm hoping it's nonsense, otherwise what the **** were the club thinking? Stupid ****ers have added a layer of spice which was totally unwarranted. More than convinced we're going to **** this up now
