Can somebody tell me, what the hell we pay Cleggy for?

 

If his agent has met with Evans surely they must be doing something i'm sure it was not just a Christmas drink.

 

Obviously, Keith Andrews agent must have missed the bloke with the red carnation with the EADT folded under his right arm, underneath the clock on Ipswich Station.

 

Personally I think its his agent being an arse. If the agent has had a meeting with the club then what other reason can it be for other than keeping him on?
He know getting him set up with a premier league club will see a bigger share going to him

 

Probably right, but why burn bridges in the press this way? what do they have to gain. surely saying that we are offering something fantastic will call out any interested parties to firm up their interest.

 

Might be trying to get a better deal(i know it sounds crazy but it has been done before).

 

I think making a loanee Captain for the last 3 games shows that we would be keen to hang on to him..

Sounds as thought Andrews wants to stay and isn't all about money, more footballing reasons, but as usual the Club sends out all the wrong signals by talking the talk but not walking the walk!

 

Come come now Plum, you surely cant be suggesting that a player would do such a thing like that! Andrews says he wants to stay, ITFC say they want to keep him, apparently its not about the Prem or money so everyones happy, they then have a meeting between Andrews agent, Evans, and Clegg where "not a hell of a lot was discussed" and certainly no offer was made.
So we have our Captain and leading goal scorer actually on the premises and nobody is busting their arse to keep him, or maybe Evans has closed the purse after so many millions has been wasted, either way it could only happen at ITFC.

 

Maybe all the moaning about 'DADS ARMY' has made them decide not to offer contracts to over 30's.

 

Or perhaps its last season repeating itself all over again. What with Cleggy either with finger stuck up his ass or offering peanuts for proven quality players so in the end we get left behind with all the ****.

 

I think if Andrews goes that Bullard will fill that role.

 

and replacement if bullard gets injured? and who has done enough to be a worthy captain of the side?

on their day I think Bullard can bring the club more goals than Andrews. I dont think Bullard will score them but his vision can be amazing and I havent been overly impressed with Andrews general play, just his ability to put the ball in the net.
I suppose the big question is can we justify keeping them both here full time. Neither of them will be on low wages and if we are only going to play 1 in the team then can we afford for one of our higher wages earners to be constantly on the bench.
The problem is Bullard hasnt yet reached his form from last season so its another difficult area to contend with. Have faith in him or add more wages to the club?
I dont know how much money we will have to play with in Jan but if it is a tight situation I would rather let Andrews go and bring in a RB.
