A few more ups and downs from 3 leagues to sort yet.
Nice that we dont have to worry about where we'll be.
Still 1 of 5 teams could join us and Lincoln going up.
2 of 6 could join Wendies going down.
A possible 2 of 8 joining Coventry going up.
2 of 5 joining Wolves coming down from the Premier league (Wolves could only stay up on goal difference).

So a possible 24 teams may or may not be in the championship next season.

A while to go until fixtures can be finalised for Irish.

Bagan, well deserved. But only one Cardiff player? Surely Wintle should be in there.
There were calls for others, but with the rotation and injuries most will have missed a lot of games. Just goes to show its a team (squad) game. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Besides Bagan, Trott and Wintle must have been in with a shout, with Ng not far behind.

A good appraisal by two young men
I’ve seen these guys before; their analysis is excellent.

An obvious red flag as one of them said is how the owners approach next season. LBH City lucked out with BBM but he really will need support and deservedly so from the owner with funding of 5-6 higher quality players. It would be madness to refuse him as he’s a prized asset who surely will be sought after by other clubs who would back him.

Of the current team Trott, Ng, Wintle, Lawlor, R Colwill, Robertson & Salech are good enough for the next level; maybe one or two more. What are needed IMO are a left back/wing back, imposing centre half, a dominant box to box midfielder, two quick and goal scoring wingers and a proven striker. These can be loans or signings from abroad (as championship clubs often have done) but as one of the guys implied, City could be vulnerable to being picked off playing their possession based style in division 2 with these current players. Every time I watch championship football it’s noticeable how quick, skilful and strong these teams are.

Challenging for promotion would be all good and well but more importantly IMO is being competitive throughout the season, playing his tempo football, creating chances, being defensively sound and make CCS a fortress.

They’re right though, this season has been largely such an enjoyable experience.

Stockport losing to posh in an early kick off. They're on a disastrous run. They could be out of the playoffs by the end of the day.

Big game at Exeter this afternoon.

If Exeter can beat Bradford City at home, Orient would have to win their game against Burton - a draw wouldn't be enough to save them from the drop instead of Exeter.

Also if Exeter win, then Bradford City could miss out on the playoffs if Luton can beat Bolton. Tall order that for Luton, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them win that game as Bolton are already assured of a playoff spot.

Fascinating - just glad we're not hanging on our result at Mansfield.
