Ho! Ho! Ho! John Terry To Face Racial Abuse Charges Chelsea and England captain John Terry will face charges over allegations he racially abused another player. The player will appear in court on February 1 following the decision by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Alison Saunders, Chief Crown Prosecutor for London said: "I have today advised the Metropolitan Police Service that John Terry should be prosecuted for a racially aggravated public order offence following comments allegedly made during a Premier League football match between Queen's Park Rangers and Chelsea on 23 October 2011. "The decision was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors and after careful consideration of all the evidence I am satisfied there is sufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction and it is in the public interest to prosecute this case." The Chelsea star has always denied making a racist comment to QPR's Anton Ferdinand. After the claim was made he issued a statement denying any wrongdoing: "I'm disappointed that people have leapt to the wrong conclusions about the context of what I was seen to be saying to Anton Ferdinand. "I would never say such a thing, and I'm saddened that people would think so."
whatever happened to being Innocent til proven guilty in this country ? to my knowledge he has not been convicted yet ? the article just says that the CPS feel there is enough evidence to prosecute J.T. but IF J.T. is found guilty then he should be banned for life from the England team and suffer any other punishment the court deam fit. imo.
I think Cumbrian - like me - is basing his attitude on Terry's pre-existing Twattishness, not necessarily on this case. The man is a disgrace.
I do find it a bit strange that Terry would say this to Anton Ferdinand, knowing that he was likely to be playing alongside his brother for England. There again I guess we all say things sometimes in the heat of the moment.
He's not good enough for England anymore, the Germans were laughing at him in the World Cup, even their manager came out after the match and said he was a weak point in the defence, (result still hurts wasnt just the officials to blame) get Smalling/Jones/Jagielka/Cahill in the team and dispense with him ASAP racist or not

The guys past his best for club and country, he's been poor for Chelsea this season and the likes of Jones, Smalling, Jagielka and Lescott look much better prospects for the euros. Plus he's a ****.
