Afternoon all! Thanks for all the nice messages from the last day or so. I've noticed that several threads with similar content have been appearing regarding the great man (or not so great according to some) Alonso. If the board has too many threads with similar content then I will be deleting the majority and leaving a few open, or simply closing the threads. Just so you know, I don't want to be :police: but it keeps the board open for more subjects. Cheers!

Nick I think there may be a function where you can merge the threads. That way the comments won't be lost (providing you want to keep them).

For everybodies information: I've merged all the current Alonso threads into one super thread. Whether it's super or not I don't know as I'm new to this game :emoticon-0105-wink:

Anybody with any questions about threads please P.M me and I will explain all, instead of writing on the threads themselves.

Terrific; another controller. Just what the world needs. Although I haven't posted on here yet (did on 606 though), the appeal of this site is that it wasn't controlled and stifled the way that 606 became.

That's not a fair comment Jack, you'll find that the moderation here is a lot more relaxed than 606. It's not possible to run a board without some sort of moderation as some people being what they are, don't have consideration for other users. I might be a fat Buddha in my picture but I'm certainly not the fat controller here!

Cyprussydsafc is the other F1 moderator, I'm not always about so if anybody needs 'the help of a moderator' (don't know how else to put that) then he's the man. Like I said above, the mods shouldn't really be needed in an ideal world, but that place doesn't exist unfortunately.

On the topic of 'wums', for me anybody posting threads about accounts on 606 or coming on the board posting a thread saying 'close the board, it's full of wums' is essentially wumming themselves, and not making any point valid towards F1.

Well WUMming on formula 1, is basically bigging up a driver, making threads with no real value and a bucket load of drivel, and generally the sole purpose of attention seeking, causing arguements or just to let the world know they are a prick

Accounts and I.P addresses- I can confirm that Jose has one account on here and that is all- I'm tired of people talking about 606 and relating it to here when in fact Jose has been a good poster on here as long as I have known him. The same applies to el Alonso, although I accept some of his posts can be provocative and I will delete anything that goes over the limits, as users here will confirm.

There are supporters and WUM's, there is a very fine line between them two catergories.

Thats it, as far as I'm concerned banter is fine, but there is a line you don't cross, unfortunately it's up to me to decide what that is at the moment, and you can't please everybody.

    No he hasn't!

    - He's called Lewis a choker on numerous occasions,
    - He laughed and applauded posters when they say they hope he fails,
    - anything remotely decent looking is a cut and paste from autosport (not referenced I might add)
    - He's written threads where he has quoted people, omitting crucial parts of to make Hamilton look crap
    - He's advertised his Hamilton hate youtube site
    - He handed out infractions and deleted threads that mildly criticised Alonso whilst 5 starring Hamilton hate ones

    Yeah what a decent poster.

Well, if anyone is using multi accounts, which i'm not accusing anyone of, I think they have a second chance. Anyone still living with their parents may have tho email/IP addresses within their home, one for them, and one for their parents-more if they manage to convince brothers and sisters to use theirs. So I think we could see proof of someone multi-accounting after their third account gets banned, at least. Obviously, we won't see them being used at the same time, as they are monitored very closely on that part

oh yeah forgot about that, it's hard to track people's writing styles and behaviours, also proves that humans will always have to monitor robots and computers, no matter how advanced they get, becuase a computer can't think like a human. What's sad enough is that some people actually make many accounts to produce drivel and waste moderators time

I'm really sorry, but who are the WUMs and who are the credible posters on here? I know that El Alonso King is one, but (and I'm really sorry and apologise profusely if I'm wrong!) is Jose Lorca a wum? I seem to remember him, or somebody with a similar name posting quite a bit of crap on the old 606!
