Newcastle fans think they are getting 3 points at Anfield now after the Saurez thing. Would love it if Carroll banged in a couple in that game.
Yeah i'd agree with that, perhaps swap Maxi and Downing round so he can cut in from the right. But yeah I agree.
If Suarez appeals, he'll probably play against Newcastle anyway. And after their showing at Norwich, I don't think we'd really need him.
Never know such a bunch of bitters...and that's coming from someone with half their family that are BS. Unbelievable, you would have thought we stole Alan Shearer in his prime during the night rather than set up their club with the benefit of £35m for a £12m player.
Head-To-Head. Both league matches finished 1-1 last season, with Liverpool scoring first in both games. Wigan have only beaten Liverpool once in 14 league and cup matches between the two sides. That was a 1-0 league win at the DW Stadium in March 2010 when Hugo Rodallega scored the game's only goal. Liverpool have failed to win on their last three Premier League visits to Wigan, having won each of their first three visits without conceding a goal. Wigan Athletic. Wigan have won just once (against QPR) at home all season. However, they have drawn two of their last three at the DW Stadium. The club have lost over half (43) of the 80 north-west Premier League derbies they have contested, and won just 18 of them. Defeat would be the 500th in Wigan's league history. Liverpool. Liverpool are looking for a third successive league win for the first time this season. The Reds have hit the woodwork 17 times in 2011/12. They have rattled the frame and bar 73 times since the start of the 2008-09 campaign, the most in the Premier League. If selected, Glen Johnson will be making his 200th career league start.
Going to be very interesting team-sheet tonight not going to go into the whole Luis thing but would like to see Maxi get another start personally. Will be interesting to see if Kenny thinks the best option will be to go with the more direct style to get at Wigan and play Carroll or whether he wants us to try and keep it on the deck and pass it through them.
--------------Reina Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique ------Henderson - Adam-------- -- Shelvey ------------- Maxi--- ----------Carroll--Bellamy------- Bench Downing, Doni, Kuyt, Coates, Carragher, Kelly, Sterling. I think it will be an opportunity for Andy to show he can be the main man, and for Shelvey to cement his place. Some of his runs into the box were very good against Villa (then again, they let him run unmarked into the area...)
What time is the game there? It is on at like 2:30 ish here I believe, is that too early to start drinking?
Bluff, given the last 24 hours, and our relaxed licencing laws, I'm surprised I've not been in the pub the whole time...
If it is I better stop now Can't wait for the game now I think we're are going to be in defiant voice tonight. Better shift my arse soon actually
Ya, I get off work at 1 and am getting to a quick workout, home, and getting right into this game, 2:30-3 just feels too early to be drinking when I am not holiday yet and it is not warma and sunny out haha. Suarez must be ****ed up at the moment and also putting a lot of I have failed the team possibly as well. I hoep the lads cheer him up and someone scores tonight, guarentee a shirt , a gesture, something for Suarez or the FA.
