These are the two teams that I most want to lose, in every game, whether in the domestic league and cups, or in Europe; and they are the two teams that, if they win a game, I always utter a small curse to myself. But which one do I most always want to lose? That's a tough question. Natural rivalry would tend towards an assumption that I would want Arsenal always to lose, ahead of 'Pool. However, my utter contempt for the arrogance of 'Pool fans has, in recent years, driven me almost to the point of praying for 'Pool to lose. If I believed in a benign God, I would have prayed before every match they played. Now that each team is competing for places outside the top 4 - effectively fighting over 5th and 6th spots - I will always want the two to draw, when they play each other, as that result is of little use to either team, as they desperately, arrogantly, but ultimately vainly, wish for a top-4 finish. If you put a gun to my head, I'd probably say that I'd want Arsenal to lose more than I want 'Pool to lose, but I can absolutely assure you all that it would be through gritted teeth. Which of the two would you most want to lose?
Liverpool. Their fans have the entitlement of Man Utd's, coupled to the dfelusion of Newcastle's, topped off with the need to make excuses of Arsenal's. So when they lose, it's hilarious to watch the collective nervous breakdown.
No brainer for me. Goons all day long for obvious reasons. 'Pool are a non-entity to me. Though naturally I only really care about our results, providing we continue to impress and get points, Goons and 'Pool results are irrelevant.
Liverpoop just aren't a consideration anymore...despite perennial claims of it being their year...it never is.
Arsenal, easily. If Arsenal were playing an Al-Qaeda XI, I'd still want them to lose. Liverpool are just annoying, in the same way that Leeds are.
West Ham, then Stoke. Unless by winning they can do us a favour, then I forget my principles as it's always Spurs first
Anybody noticed that somebody seems to have taken Wenger's water bottle away, this year. Or perhaps it's still in orbit around Newcastle, somewhere. I used to love watching him kick that bottle around when it all went tits up towards the end of the season - as usual. Arsenal, all day long. L'pool are doing a great job of imploding on their own.
Sorry but Chelsea always come top of my list of teams I want to lose. They are only where they are because of money stolen from the Russian people, I just love to see them fail. Wenger has at least introduced a good brand of football and Liverpool have had Shankley & Paisley as managers who are very high in the overall ratings IMO.
Arsenal then West Ham and then Chelsea. Don't really mind Liverpool. Big club with a great history but do have some deluded fans.
The Al-Quaeda Team... please log in to view this image ...sadly the front row on occasion, have stood on their own landmines planted in the opponents half.
One thing you can say about Arsenal, they don;t publicly show support of a racist member of their squad... please log in to view this image ...unlike some teams we could mention.
