Thing is I get people saying it’s a stupid decision but at what point do you play him. He’ll have done loads of rehab and work to get to this point. He’ll have been tested and socialists with far more medical training than 99.9% of this board will have said he’s ok. So at some point you have to test it. If it’s weak now then it’s weak in another month isn’t it

Because bringing a sub on to help you see a game out might mean you aren't charging around as much. The game might not be as stretched, the desire to get on the front foot might not be as pressing.

It depends whether you are in a must win game, a good to win game, a game you need to draw etc etc. It also depends if you are 2-0 up or 2-0 down. I'd argue starting Matazo today against Charlton who need to get a point in a game we ideally could do with winning was a mistake.
