Well I'm not trying to count them as goals, I just said he's showing promise.

I was glad he missed v Stoke as I had the correct score and first goal scorer - he'd have lost me my bet.

Colo, Enrique, just 2 examples of players who were **** in their first season but came good. Too many haters seem to forget their favourite players last season were **** when they first came.

  12. Colo was **** in his first season, and not that impressive in the championship.

He wasn't even that great at the start of last season. But he's been fantastic since the start of 2011 after Pardew took over. Jonas and Colo have both been fantastic since Pardew came here.

Our defense as a whole has improved under Pardew.

What?? Colo was brilliant from very near the start of the Championship season and has been consistently excellent since then.

Pardew hasmore motivation - - he doesn't have a stable of other players he can develop

  16. Have to disagree mate. He wasn't **** in the championship, but he didn't really impress me either. He was getting bullied about and was useless defending in the air from set plays. He also lost the players he was marking to often.

He was good at the start of last season, but he's been at his best since Pardew took over. Much, much better. 10x the defender he was before.

That's a load of **** as far as I'm concerned, Colo was been fantastic long before Pardew took over, it was just a matter of adapting to England. Pardew's done a lot of things well, and worked well with Saylor but Colo's been a class act longer than Pardew's been here.

  20. Colo was good in certain aspects, same as Jonas. They're both class now but IMO it took far too long for them to justify their transfer fees and wages.
