Are you allowed to buy US pork in the UK now????
That's certainly not a Brexit benefit, more of a penalty! The cost of slaughter, tax and transport on top of the meat production, and still cheaper than UK pork.. have to wonder where they're making the saving to make the sale profitable still... Poor pigs.
I would chuck it - full of ractopamine and banned in the EU - basically a growth hormone that they pump into the pig a few weeks before slaughter, to increase the weight. Hence why general supermarket pork is flavourless in the us. Damages the pigs health, makes them fight etc I wouldn't want to be eating the residue from that too much. **** me, I'd go pescetarian if I lived in the States and couldn't afford decently produced meat.
