It serves their policy because all the media and whathaveyou will begin the phone-ins and polls about 'Should Suarez be banned from English Football forever' ' Should the racist be sent home' 'Should the dirty foreigner be told to fook off' and the FA can then quietly release the evidence in the middle of the furore, and watch it get drowned out by the supposition and misinformation being circulated as fact on the Internet.

I mean, already there was a phone in this morning on 5Live, which conveniently missed out mentioning that both the FA and Evra said they did not believe that Suarez is a racist...

I think it's due to the appeal procedure still being open so the case is still a 'live' one.

But surely the evidence submitted to this point is "dead". An appeal could only be based on the submission of further contradictory evidence, a successful argument that old evidence was misinterpreted by the panel or a procedural error occurred resulting the wrong verdict?

I still believe if the evidence so far shows clear guilt it would be fairer to the FA, it's policy and also to Suarez so that the specifics of his erroneous actions can be debated & learnt from not this continued vilification & innuendo based slanging match.

Don't be stupid..You'll be playing Man City twice without Suarez. As a rival manager I'm sure he'd much rather you play them with your best player available!!!

Hilarious watching sky news: the panic on the reporters faces as a poll asking if FA was right or wrong came back 65% against the decision.

the phrase "not scientific" was muttered 4 times in 30 seconds finished with "must all be Liverpool fans" & "most sensible people expected a ban" lol. Why do a poll if you only wanted one outcome, you just look silly.

For me, it is all about the evidence. I am a firm believer in that having a fair and moral justice system helps seperate us with the old days of off with his head. There just isn't enough evidence other than two mens opinions that this has come across. I will say it until I am blue in the face, show me the evidence that led to this decision and if it is racist then I will hold my hands up, but until then this just looks sloppy. I hate to drag Chelsea into this but i am waiting to see what they do with Terry as if they have landed this on Suarez and give Terry something lesser, what does that say? What message of kick racism out does that send if you are then giving a foreigner more time than an Englishman; it will be how some will look at it and that could be considered, well......... racist.

As Kanye put it " Jerome gets more time than Brandon".

Its always nice when a media juggernaut diverts from the expected route - it shows the bias of the organisation as they fight to stay on-message...

You have to add to the fact that Patrice Evra has made such allegations in the past and they were all unproven. With that in mind, you would really need concrete proof in order to find Luis Suarez guilty. As for John Terry, he has to be found guilty first in order to be punished, you cannot just find him guilty based on inconclusive evidence. If he is found guilty then we would expect the same punishment and he will possibly also be stripped of the England captaincy (for the second time) and perhaps even of the Chelsea captaincy. The only reason I could find for him being banned for fewer games would be because what he appeared to say was said to himself, rather than directly to Anton Ferdinand.

Indeed. In the same report the reporter suggested it would take quite some time for the report containing the evidence to be published due to the "complexities of the case"

This confused me: surely all that has been done already if a decision has been reached? Surely it's a matter of simply typing it up all pretty?

Why would it take time to publish if the evidence is a clear as day

Complex? What sort of web are they working back there? As for the Terry case, i really don't know much about it other than the 'Black C***' part but it just feels too similar to this, word against word and I highly doubt Terry is a racist. Again, you want racism, go check out the balkan countries, spain, italy, and see how they treat the black/anything other than us- players there.

Unlucky for Suarez this was said/or implied to a member of the most media loved team in the country so I think he'll take a hit from the F.A just to make an example of him. JT's incident will be brushed under media carpet (it's filthy under there) That way they can seen to be taking action against Racism in football unless it's the captain of England squad in which case he'll be protected to the end of the Earth. Better for a foreigner to be seen as racist than an Englishman.

Literally just come on line and I see I'm still getting pulled up about my own views, over the ****ing internet!!!

Firstly - I don't give 2 ****s what someone tells me who 12 hours earlier called me a ****ing moron <ok>

Taking away any bias I have towards Liverpool, the case is simple enough to work out. Suarez admitted to calling Evra a 'negrito' during an argument on the pitch. Apparently this is a friendly term, if that's the case why the **** would he use it in an argument. I personally don't use friendly terms in an argument, do you?

The minute Suarez admitted using the word it was pretty obvious he was going to get done - after all this is the UK, therefore, we go by UK law (not ****ing South American laws!). I don't buy into the fact it was an honest mistake, due to using a 'friendly' term in a heated moment. I also don't think he is a racist, I think he got over emotional and it just came out.

If Suarez had of got cleared the floodgates would of opened and every South American and their dog would be getting away with calling people 'negrito' and other such terms during games. Yeah the FA did want to make an example of Suarez and that's clearly happened. But for me putting my club before my true beliefs and views is dishonest to myself, and that's one thing I'm not.

I don't care if I'm on my own on this - I personally think many of you need to look at the bigger picture rather than being so rigid towards our club.

Yeah the whole situation is a big mess up - but come on you cant call someone a 'negrito' in England and then ADMIT it and then expect to get away with it. If someone called my Mrs a negrito they would be picking their teeth out the curb.

I didn't come on here looking to piss people off - my views are my views and to be completely honest the fact many people disagree on an internet forum doesn't bother me one bit, I certainly wont lose any sleep over it.

The ban might be excessive - so i agree that the FA are being twats, as usual. But that doesn't take away what my beliefs are, so in a sense the actual length of ban is irrelevant.
