    Alright lads?

Back in England for Christmas, and of course was out for a few catch up curlers with the boys last night, heard some interesting craic from one of my marra who works in a hotel where Ellis stayed just before Bruce went.

Apparently, he was fantastic and open, and very passionate about the club, he said to my mate ´what about this captain of ours´

´if i were in any way involved in the football side of things Cattermole would never be allowed to step foot in the club again´.

This, remember, was even before the incident with Bendtner, gone in January?

Let´s be honest, would he be missed? After hearing tales of him bullying youth team lads, and the general lack of any influence on the park.

    Just thought i´d share <ok>

Must have been a git posh hotel, with central heating and all..

I'm not a catts slayer, and think he's ok...yes he ****s up but puts his heart into things (and boots).

But if ES says this, perhaps his days are numbered....

Mmmm, very interesting. I don't know Catts personally but he doesn't seem to be able to handle the booze that's for sure.

Not heard about the bullying before like.

If Ellis has said this, then as you say maybe his time is up.

However, MON has stated in the press that he has spoken to them all about discipline so who knows?

That's am incredible thing for a club owner to say. Especially to people he doesn't know.
I already got the impression Catts days were numbered with Bruce's departure. Now I'm sure he'll be off in January.
No great loss TBH. He seems to be becoming more and more loathsome by the day.

It is, but i think it´s great that he was that open with him.

Shows to me that he cares about the club, and that he keeps an eye on things, only a positive.

Left an 80quid tip as well.

Comm, he works at the Radisson in Durham, apparently most teams stay there when they play us as well, they have Everton lads up for Boxing Day.

If ther'e any void to fill from a potential Cattermole departure then either Meyler or Colback could easily fill it IMO.... He's been a let down / liability since he arrived. Put any monies received (no doubt a loss on the £6m investment) towards a Left Sider or Striker please!!

I used to work at the Ramside on the outskirts of Durham and a lot of teams also stay their, and SAFC have been known to use it from time to time. I remember seeing Gordon in the reception once and thinking that he looks a lot like a wolf.

    Ha ha.

I´ve never thought of him in that way mind, but after reading and having a deeks at some pics, I can kinda see where you get it from.

Interesting one Gordon, as a sidenote, no new contract from Bruce, but iirc, MON matched our bid to Hearts for him, so likely to get a new deal now?

I hope Flash gets a new deal.

As for Cattermole & Bendtner i cant see any of them leaving in January we need to add to the squad if anything.

I think MoN will bring in 3-4 players In January with a forward top of his list.

The summer will be when O`Neill makes the squad his own.

I fancy Catts will go and we´ll fetch in Petrov.

I´m not a massive fan of Petrov, but MON is, and unquestionably he offers us more than Catts.

I still think Meylers the man, if we can get him up to speed, and even ´crab Colback´ is way ahead of Catts in ability.

I personally hope not - Cattermole has been streets ahead of Colback on recent performances both going forward and defensively (and has played some lovely passes around the field) just him and Richardson have both been scapegoats recently (and more recently O'Shea is becoming a scapegoat) - His off field misdemeanours are the problem for Catts - but I think he could be an excellent defensive centre mid

    HOWEVER!!

If he is bullying youth players then he can do one (I say IF as this is unsubstatiated rumour as far as I can see and I don't think that other pros would put up with it let alone management)
