As others have said, just how do you select one game/goal/moment from such a mindblowing year?

Every single one mentioned on here is a valid call, but, for me, player of 2011 has to be
Russell Martin, goal of 2011 is the Steve Morison volley against Blackburn to cancel out Junior Hoilett's superb opener <ok>

There has been so many but one that stands out more than any to me is the goal against either millwall or reading where the ball literally started at the top with McNally down to Lambert and then a wonderful flowing move that fibished with a goal (right at the death as always)

Really tells the story of norwich city in that goal in my eyes!

As you all say there are just so many :)

All these amazing memories from just one season - unbelievable! What an absolutely fantastic time to be a Norwich City supporter, just totally brilliant and millions and millions and millions of miles away from the ****e we had to endure under the Pointer and the Rodent.

I love Paul Lambert, I really really do <hug>

It has to be Jackson twice. Derby (emotionally) and Pompey (financially).

Of course we have to give Savage some credit for THAT goal. If he had not have taken his time when being substituted then the ref wouldn't have added an extra minute and Jackson would not have scored.

Maybe even more than Colu_mike did when he achieved 'legendary' status by being featured on "punch in the facebook" <laugh>

Let us not forget how grateful we were to Savage for taking such a long time to be subbed in the Derby game. Thanks Robbie ;)

I absolutely loved that, definitely put the cherry on the cake that did!

However having subsequently watched the finale of THAT match many, many times as you all have in retrospect I don't think it actually made any difference as the game went on for about another 30 seconds or so after Simmo scored so it wasn't quite the last kick of the match.

I remember there being four minutes of added time but Jackson scored in the 5th minute. Savage caused the game to go on fro that 30 seconds after the goal. Savage must have felt like an idiot afterwards.

Derby without doubt with the commentary, Ipswich, Lansbury's goal against Bristol City to make it 2-1, Wes's goal against Leicester.

    What a year

Third place for me would be Holt's last minute winner against Reading. I'd had a really terrible week, and even entering the last minute I could just tell we were going to win. And we did.

Second place would have to be Jackson's goal against Derby, but I feel enough's probably been said on that already.

First place has to be when Jackson's goal went in against Pompey. I don't get to many away games at all, but I decided I would miss a vital day at college (I believe I had two exams the next week) the following day in order to hopefully watch a bit of history. Anyway, as Middlesbrough's third went in, I started to receive an influx of texts all saying something along the lines of 'enjoy the promotion party' etc. I then had to endure one of the worst 45 minutes of football I'd ever seen as the first half drew to its climax, but anyone there will tell you the goal was definitely coming. Then, as the goal went in (Jackson celebrated directly in front of us) I remember performing a somewhat subdued celebration until my uncle grabbed both me and my Dad by the scruff of the neck and went absolutely barmy. Next thing I knew, the game was over, and we waited patiently in the stands until the Pompey stewards admitted defeat and decided to let everyone onto the pitch, at which point we joined in. My last overriding memory of that night was my Dad stealing an inflatable beach ball off a small kid before heading it into the goal and proclaiming 'look at me, I'm Simeon Jackson!'.

    Best night of my life.

    On the Ball City!

Holt's goal at Anfield does it for me. The photograph of him running away in celebration with three international players grounded and clearly wondering 'what the f**k happened there?', sums up our incredible rise these past two and a half years, and his part in it!

I've just thought of a new highlight of 2011.

Despite being one of the 'bookies favourites' to languish in the bottom 3 all season,
we go into the season of festive merriment in the TOP HALF of the Prem table - on merit <ok>

As footballing years go, it doesn't get much better than that!

I remember being in total despair and saying so on the old 606 after we had lost at Brentford two seasons ago. Everyone goes on about Colchester but after 3 games that season we had one point! And now look at us! And we are there on merit. Not punching above our weight at all. No fear of anyone, great management supported by a genuine board and massive and loyal support. As they say "perfick".
