Interesting game and definitely feel that you can't win them all.

Not sure about the 442 lineup and Azaz, as we know from the Will Still debacle, is pretty ineffective as a winger. Overall first half was pretty slow, but quite a few recently have been.

Second half was much better, particularly when subs were made. I felt Stewart should have come on earlier and very surprised Charles lasted the whole game..

I still don't get Nathan Wood. He is so ponderous on the ball. At one point Peretz rolled it out, ran past him and fired a ball in to the midfield so clearly the squad also get the a similar vibe.

Bring on Wembley!

As I saw it, we had a Referee that deemed every hard challenge to be a foul, and the Kingsland lino operating from a different rule book to the rest of us. We also had a few players not giving their best, and Azaz having a night off, meant the rest were left with too much to do. JS' absence was a major blow and I am sure we wouldn't have allowed those early chances had he been there organizing. At the end with Larin and Stewart up front we should have been launching some "hail marys", not tippy tapping, sideways backwards.

**** Bristol in general not just Bristol City.

**** hole of a place filled simultaneously with both posh twats and absolute scum.

Absolute nothing of a club who just make up the numbers in the Championship each year. Will never go up, will never go down and give they're only a couple of hours away, can't even fill the away end at St Mary’s. No history, no support, ****e fans.

The most boring club in the country. The Gillingham of the Championship.

****ers

After watching Nathan Wood as an interviewee, I think I also get the same vibe...

I've not read back through the thread yet. I'm still pissed off. I have to keep telling myself that it was always an incredibly long shot to win every game which is what was required, and to get as far as we did was already immensely impressive. That said I'm going to go on an unabashed rant now. Perhaps I'll come back later today having read through the thread and had a bit more time to reflect and say something more sensible...but for now.

I ****ing hate Bristol City. Why do they always play out of their skins against us when they are generally average-to-****? They have nothing to play for the ****s. And yet they always turn up against us to spoil whatever good thing we have going on. **** off with your time wasting and falling to the floor constantly too. Albeit the ref constantly giving them fouls for that (and not when we did the same thing) pissed me off more. Just give the league to Ipswich.

I don't get what we were trying to do with the formation/how we were playing. It felt more like the Will Still days of follow your man all over the pitch which just doesn't work for us. I kept seeing players miles out of position and thinking what ****ing shape are we in. Then they'd just move the ball quickly and exploit the space we left. There were players constantly shouting at each other for not being in the 'right place' because of this. Don't think it's a coincidence that Bree had by far his worst performance for us since his return in a game that he was regularly miles away from his normal RB position. Matsuki another one just incredibly ineffective, and probably because he so often seemed to be covering at RB. No idea why we decided to do that last night, but for it to work you need every player fully committed and willing to run and run and run. The game before Wembley was never ever going to be that game, so why Tonda decided to try and do that last night I have no idea. I don't like it anyway, it overcomplicates things, and it just seemed completely unnecessary.

There were certain players that it was very obvious had more than half an eye on Wembley. That was always likely to happen unfortunately, but it happened to too many of them. Flynn ****ing downs was trying to do the work of Charles and Azaz in midfield, fair play Flynn, you put the effort and intensity in. Charles was playing so laid back he might as well have laid down and I wonder if it's because he knew he's not starting at Wembley and was pissed off. And Azaz just spent most of the game stationary and hiding behind players so he wasn't available. There was a lot of standing around going on. Very little movement for large parts of the game. Our passing was well off and some of crossing too and we were really slow to release the ball too. It was just an incredibly stodgy performance for large parts.

I'm sure it's a mix of things, the hectic schedule of fixtures catching up with us, the mental fatigue of having to get up for it every few days for a month. Wembley on the mind. Bristol City being thundercunts and playing out of their skins and with energy and intensity. But right now I'm just ****ing pissed off because it felt so avoidable.

The crowd was really **** again too, saving your energy for Wembley doesn't work for the players or fans I'm afraid. There's a reason very few teams are able to compete well on multiple fronts and it really proved to be the case today.

Just felt we run out of steam last night. It was quite a dull match with Azaz and Charles not really contributing. I wish we had given Bragg a run out in the starting line up.

I think we will get to the play-offs and struggle against either Ipswich or Millwall of the two that might come third. It has been a brilliant run. I am not grumbling as I never expected we would be good enough for the play off season. I am now worried that we will keep Tonda who has been a revelation.

It's actually a brilliant, vibrant and multicultural city that has way more going for it than Southampton.

I never really believed we would get autos, so i set my expectations low. Selfishly, 4th place works much better for me in terms of being able to make the semi-final dates, so i'd be more than happy for the league to finish as it is now, with a cheeky FA Cup Final to boot! Proud of the lads and Tonda and just how far we've come this season. A draw was disappointing last night, but lots more ups (and probably downs) to come. COYR
