We all knew deep down Luke was out of his depth at this level, but players can raise their level which he most certainly has done. But the lad ain't built like Ballard which in the Prem is half the battle, today he has struggled, apart from on the ball.

But he ain't the scapegoat, because Diarra's poor end product has cost us today, some individual errors from others too. Brobbey wasn't involved enough.

Buzzing for Riggy, been class lately, hes been due a goal and took it lovely.

Diarra has had a mare but next season will score 10 goals.

Can't complain, we nearly nicked a win which wouldve been a robbery, instead, we get beat by one goal off a good side who am sure will be in next years Champions League.

Scored 3 goals, great for us, as we struggle to score. But defence went awol today.
It's not the first time this season, there wasn't enough pressure on the winger/fullback as he played the cross in. Digne had lots of time to deliver the perfect ball and he did tbf.

Don't want to slag anyone off as it was an excellent effort. Nearly beat the side in the 3rd, who are in great form, away from home.

Edit - 4th, even

Sitting here deflated but not because of the defeat but because we deserved at least a point.

This season has been magical and far beyond anyone's expectations. I cant wait for Friday's game.

If anyine had said as I walked away from Wembley that in April we would be in with a chance of European qualification and we would just have had Aston Villa ****ting their pants I would have said asked who their dealer was

All I can say is I thoroughly enjoyed all off that apart from first 20 of second half, great game of football and it just shows we are a very good premiership team. Disappointed about diarra chance as I feel we win if he puts it in the net. Word on onien though, he's deserved his chance and he has surpassed my expectation of him not being good enough for this league. The best for him is if he starts on the bench, wrong decision by Reggie today not to put Ballard straight back in. Proud of everyone that played today and put up a good game against a very good premier team going for the champions league.

I agree but you can't pin the blame on one miss when O9 was poor for 3 goals.

Now here's a thought. I don't think we were that good defensively today but maybe it was because we were pushing far higher up the pitch to what we usually see us do. If the front 3 and midfield was higher up then surely that would leave the defence more exposed. Tin hat firmly on
We sat back for large periods in that solid 4 4 1 1 shape we have employed so well all season.

At times we went for it and the shape was all over the place, its to be expected as we were chasing the game.

A couple of tiny errors punished us, it will happen with the squad we have and the journey we are on

That was the toughest game in my opinion of the run in and we just missed out. Obviously their injury time winner stings like hell but at least only 5 days before we play Forest, who will have 1 eye on the semi final, to get today out of our system. He’s been a great servant for the club but it’s time to drop Luke to the bench. With the way the results have gone this weekend, we are still in contention for Europe and still all to play for, unlike a team up the road who’s season is effectively over!
