Zero English, or even British, players in Liverpool’s starting XI. They’re just like PSG, a franchise.

Owned by Americans, managed by a Dutchman, played for by mercenaries, supported by Scousers.*

Viva PSG!

* I am aware that we are owned by foreigners, have a French manager and have a lot of mercenaries playing for us. But we ain’t ****ing scousers! I am also aware that living in Paris gives you more than enough justification in disliking PSG.

Had a quiet word with a waiter as I left a brasserie this evening...'Allez Liverpool!'...he turned back and said he lived in Merlebon (Marylebone) for a few years, and is an Arsenal fan. :emoticon-0112-wonde

RTE showed the Athletico v Barcelona game, loads of blood and thunder, always good to see Barcelona fail even if it means that anti football Athletico go through.... atmosphere was unreal....

Barcelona very unlucky to go out. The better side in both legs, even after getting a red in each.

The commentators on TNT insisted on calling Athletico ATLETI, which I found irritating.

At opposite ends of the Championship table, but well done Saints & Pompey who really did them a favour in beating Ipswich.

Big shock that Pompey stuck it to Ipswich - thought Ipswich were coasting in now on auto-promotion.
Has really left Leicester in an even bigger pickle now! No wins in 5. Six pointer against Pompey away next followed by Hull and Millwall at home then another possible six pointer away at Blackburn. Wouldn’t want to be in their position.

That result has blown it wide open. If Boro can win at Ipswich then four teams will be in the mix for 2nd place with Saints v Ipswich at the end of April possibly the key fixture. Our final game could make us real party poopers...

Tonight's offering on RTE is Arsenal v Sporting Lisbon.... to say it's not a classic is an understatement.....
Meanwhile in Munich it sounds like a game for the ages.....

Dunfermline, managed by Neil Lennon, beat Premier League Falkirk to reach Scottish Cup Final. They could face his old club Celtic who play St Mirren in the other semi...

Great finish to the National League season next week as Rochdale scored a 99th minute winner at Braintree to set up winner takes all final game at home to York next week. York with 107 points need only a draw having only gone top in the last two weeks after Rochdale had been top most of the season. Whoever ends up in the Play-offs is going to feel a bit cheated...

Cracking Copa Del Rey final between Athletico Madrid and Real Sociedad.....2 each in extra time, game end to end.....

Why would WBA get a points deduction? Have I missed something?
They have been charged with a FFP breach, a minor one apparently, and will get a points deduction this season according to the rules. Likely to be just 2 or 4 points with a probable point reduction for being cooperative.
