Liverpool should fight this all the way if the evidence is not compelling and I think they will, they have shown their card's in the statement and I fully expect this to go on for a long time.
Yes, but why has it come to this? Because Evra went and got the FA involved. We have concluded that something was said. In fact they both said something - there is a counter-claim against Evra. This could have been sorted amicably between the two clubs, not on the Sepp Blatter level, but they could've agreed they were both as bad as one another and kicked them both up the arse. Now we're in the position where we're forced to clear Suarez's name and it's a mess.
I seriously doubt there is more than that - I expect that the FA are sending a political signal to FIFA that they are big and hard and tough on racism, and Blatter is the racist's friend. When the evidence is published, I hope it is with the same fanfair that the verdict was delivered with, and it gets the same airtime.
This is exactly what will happen. Kenny has said Suarez must not walk alone. In saying that, he has completely underlined his commitment to going all the way. He has invoked 'The Liverpool Way' and they know a sight more than we do about the whole stupid mess.
Whatever happened to sorting things out like men. Evra and the ref and suarez could have all spoken after the match and explanations and amendments could have been made. Instead, Evra said absolutely nothing to the ref and went off to the French media to bitch like a little girl. Pathetic
Just come from a customer, who has an office in Brazil. he said he can't understand all the bloody fuss over the Suarez issue. He said the n word Suarez used is as common as an Englishman saying mate/lad/fella and that the typical heavy handed PC brigade had gone to town on this. He also said consider this, you are one of the biggest stars in world football are adored by your country which has a high proportion of ethnic minorities, you play for one of the most popular clubs in the world with a huge ethnic following globally. Would you knowingly make a racist remark in a huge televised when you know the reprocutions of doing so? The huge impact it will have on your career/ personal profile. Being tarnished as being racist is as bad as being classed as a peadophile. He said that what Suarez said was the South American equivelent of you or I saying to an opponent, "whats your problem lad" If you watch a clip of the whole incident and the run upto it, after the foul by Suarez on Evra, it is Evra who becomes more and more agitated, not Suarez.
