What brought that quick change of mind about? If you think he is a 'wum' do you also think he is not a genuine Celtic fan? In any case, the fact that you - and/or others - say sh is a 'wum' does not necessarily make it so. I happen to believe that he is a genuine Celtic fan -as, I believe, do others - but that is again not to say that I agree with every single thing he says which will hardly come as a great surprise. If I have concluded correctly, you seemed to take great offence at his apparent 'unfounded allegations' that you were not a 'real' fan? You can hardly be surprised, therefore, if he takes offence at being called a 'wum' and retaliates with equally hurtful remarks. As I alluded to, previously, I am uncomfortable with that bitching-type scenario and the vicious and meaningless cycle which it tends to perpetuate...to the delight of some of the Rangers posters on here. However, that is your prerogative and sh will no doubt give as good as he gets - of which, so far, it seems to me in his responses to other insulting posters, he has proved more than capable -and at times, very humouress.
Considering he was saying someone from sussex couldn't be a proper celtic fan i wonder why he sucks up to you considering your in spain
No I don't think he is a "Real" Celtic Fan and this is the first time I have voiced that opinion so he could hardly take offence at my accusation as it was several days ago he accused me of the same, so I think we can put that theory to bed. The reasons, he is a "stereotypical" Celtic fan in the eyes of a certain class of Gers supporter. He is paranoid beyond reasoning, always willing to indulge in "whataboutery", has no grasp of the English language (no one is that dense surely?) and he always tries to defend Celtic fans who misbehave by blaming someone else or making a ridiculous case for the defence. If he is a "Real" Celtic fan then he is exactly the type that I don't care for, with comments about "Good Catholic education" and ****e like that. He is either a WUM or a ****ing idiot so either way I will continue to berate him when he talks ****e and I really don't give a damn whether or not Rangers fans mock him or not, if he does not like being ridiculed by them perhaps he should just be quiet. You are the second person to try and defend him in the last few days and to be honest i'm getting a bit tired of having to defend myself, so instead of having a go at me why not just agree with SH if you share his views and be happy with that?
Well, whether or not sh takes offence at your accusation/s remains to be seen - he'll be the judge of that I'm sure! I certainly couldn't care less what Rangers fans think of him one way or another and I suspect, neither does he. You certainly have now made a lot of accusations about him - too many for me to be bothered to dissect. I am, however, uncomfortable with such sweeping generalizations but at the end of the day they are a matter between you and sh. I am also uneasy with posts that appear to deliberately set out to insult other Celtic posters - my position is simply that I tend not to deliberately set out to offend anyone and would be the first to apologiize if I unwittingly did so. That is not to say, of course, that I would not make what I hope would be viewed as gentle or humouress, jibes on occasions! As I have already pointed out, I do not agree with all of the views expressed by sh nor, I'm sure, would he with mine (very few people, if any, would agree with everything anyone says for that matter) but I would certainly defend his right to post on this forum and to air his views which, it seems to me, is something, judging by the insults they throw at him, some posters would like to stifle. I was not aware that I was trying to "defend him" per se - he is perfectly capable of doing that for himself - and I would hope that I would never appear to be so condescending towards him. I did not ask you to defend yourself, nor am I "having a go" at you - these direct exchanges between us on this topic have come about as a result of, what I saw as, your aggressive and incorrect assertions to me when you misinterpreted my post to Pud.
Dev Advocate, if it wasn't for your consistency your posts would be laughable. I thought, and I was right most posters saw through my Roman Catholic education or teaching as a bit of sarcasm. To eliminate any doubt, and I know it possible for some posters here, to be lacking in humour, or ability to understand; I explained my comment as sarcasm and you still want to use it against me. Now call me paranoia but I think you are out just to give me grief. I would have thought that on a Celtic forum frequented, by the evil bears we should remain together and remember who are friends are supposed to be and who that lot are. You claim to be a Celtic supporter and maybe you are, but really when you start using the evil bear tactics concerning the quality of English used, it is one of the bears favourite tactics when they run out of arguments. What I don't like about that Dev is that you are joining the evil bears from the dark side to create some form of censorship. Some people who may not be happy with the ability to write their thoughts in University standard, English may feel inferior and unwilling to post. I would like to think the Great Celtic club I have supported through thick and thin for approximately 44 years would not hold your narrow- minded views , wanting everything in perfect English.
Good on you Dev, glad that you have saw the light and agree that you were wrong. Sure I knew you could not be as stupid as you made yourself out to be. I hope you have a very happy Christmas.
Pud's and my views were what I believe he and I were in discussion about when you decided to stick your oar in. No problem whatsoever with that - but you got the gist of what I was saying all wrong which as I have already pointed out, is how my exchanges with you came about. Chastising? Is that really what you feel I've been doing to you? If so, you've got it wrong again. I am not in the business of "chastising" anyone - merely expressing my views and/or questioning views where I think I may be able to have a reasonable exchange with reasonable posters. By the way, wasn't that nice of sh to wish you a very happy Christmas?
