Good Luck to the lad. Be nice to know what we got for him. I do find these 'undisclosed fee' thing a real kick in the balls to the fans. We should have a right to know how much a lad that our ticket money has gone towards developing has gone for.......
As much as I dislike wycombe (I'm from colchester, its bred in to me) I hope you have got a good deal for him. It might sound weird but I'd rather over pay for a player from you then for a player from another Prem team as the money means more
I would imagine there would be a lot of add on's in this deal and I would'nt mind seeing the lad loaned back to Wycome for the rest of the season.
....but unlikely I imagine, judging from the quotes from Waddock. It's obviously not part of the deal and I wouldn't expect it to be. But it is always an option for Liverpool now they have secured him.
I've heard i think from BBC sport that the initial fee is £500,000 rising to £1m based on appearances etc. Good deal for both LFC and WWFC IMHO
Erm, can anyone cut to the chase and answer the following questions?: Is he in FIFA 12? (If yes, any good?) Does he turn out to be a superstar in Football Manager 2012? On a serious note, good to see us still going for some young talent, I hope he can challenge Raheem Sterling, then we will have a future star on our hands!
He's not on Fifa 12, can always make him though, that's what i did with Suso and Sterling XD Not sure about FM12 i don't have it
I just hope he doesnt disappear for a few years, he has had a tast of 1st team football and deserves to play regular 1st team. Obviously not to over play him as he is still young. Ibe go and show the scoucers how it is done!
Agree Ron - I reckon, if Liverpool do loan him out, itll be to a top half team in the Championship or LG1. Prem teams nowdays tend to like their players to get the opportunity of playing in front of bigger crowds and potential play off games etc. Dont think we'll seem him anywhere other than the TV sadly
Suso is on FIFA 11 though, weirdly (around 55 overall, I think). I haven't played 12, but it seems odd they'd take him out. On the issue of loaning him out or what not: I think we should give him a season or two with Wycombe. He knows the club, they know him, and they've brought him this far. Surely it couldn't do any harm letting him carry on his development knowing he's ours when he's ready?
He's got to get used to the area though, IMO. And the players like Sterling, Morgan, Suso etc who he should hopefully be going up to the first team with in due time so it'd be good for him to build up understanding with them, and we need to coach him with stuff like the defensive side of the game and the tactical side.
