    Sorry if I missed this first time round, but in this article about Liverpool signing Wycombe Wanderers infant phenomenon, Jordan E-Bay, there's this -

    "South London-born Ibe joined Wanderers as a 12-year-old after being released by Charlton..."

    It must be so hard to tell at that age who will make a good player. Spurs rejected beckham for being too small, West Ham released shelvey, and they say if messi hadn't taken as well to the growth hormones as he did, then barca would have released him. Crazy!

    I sometimes if every player in the Lower Leagues was once released by Charlton there certainly seem to be enough of them.

    George Boyd, Craig Mackail-Smith, Danny Green, Jordan Ibe, Luke Freeman etc...
