I don't think anybody would claim that we have turned a corner after yesterday and it's all onwards and upwards from now on...
(OK, maybe SR would :emoticon-0111-blush )
But most of us know we've still got some serious problems.

Three massive points, but we won't stay up winning once every couple of months.
We need Cullen & Williams back from injury, and now we really need some good signings in January.
Leko wasn't perfect by any means but we will miss him, and now Gallagher could be out for a while.

The EFL need to get the take-over ratified SOON.
Other Clubs are already getting deals done behind the scenes for good players in January.
If we have to wait another fortnight or longer, we will miss out - and it could cost us our 2nd tier status.

Pearce & Solly seem completely out of favour, which is bizarre when you consider how average Purrington & Sarr have been.

I agree with most of that but I don't think you can blame Dillon for the second goal. Morgan played the ball right into the Bristol players path who finished well. What the main difference between this division and The Championship is the finishing.
We gave them the ball straight from a throw in, from which they said thanks and scored. We are useless at throw ins, this time we got punished.

That was a good boxing day, and I can remember some terrible ones back through the years. Following it on the CL updates it sounded as if we had blown it at 2-1, but give the team a lot of credit they clawed their way back into it, and we finally got a win after coming very close a couple of times. I'll continue to back Bowyer 100%, but I disagree with calling players out in the press, especially a youngster like Albie Morgan. He may well not have been perfect, but it bears remembering he wasn't even in the reconning back in august, so softly softly. As for the announcer, if 1300 Bristol fans pay at the turnstile, they at least desserve to have their team, and goals announced properly. I wasn't there so I don't know if it was simply incompetence, but if not it smacks of a silly small club mentality.
Anyway, all in all a good day. Some good news on the injury list would be nice too.

Another body that should not be at the club.

Is there ANYBODY working at the club you approve of?!
BC has become a self-appointed cheerleader, much the same as BDL did. I don't like this either; an announcer is an announcer, he should do this clearly no matter who has just scored, and he should do his homework too. That's his job.

It’s one thing being inept - which Brian Cole is ....it really can’t be that hard to learn how to pronounce the opposition players names ...but what about “Truro City” and yesterday we were apparently playing “Bristol Rovers”.

Im not going to get into a WUM with the Midget WUM, but before the first game after it had been announced that RD had gone, the Covered Emd chanted “We Got Roland Out” and Cole turned & applauded them.

Hypocrite.

He even got Bonne's name wrong at first, calling him Boone, although he has corrected it.

Bald WUM, I need to remind you, and thousands more, Dushitelet is still the owner.

Yesterday was epic. Was feeling horrendous in the first half, self inflicted of course, and when they went 2-1 up I was really struggling. The equaliser gave me serious energy, and the final 15/20 minutes were so enjoyable/nervy. Admittedly I was a bit sh!t and left instantly at the final whistle as wanted to beat the traffic. So glad I dragged myself out of bed for it, huge win.

Nah the old announcer is classic Kent middle class black & white scarf wearing protester, he can do one.

Will Woy get a bounce out of Bristol City?

I heard that Hodgson has never been manager of any team at the time when they've played Charlton Athletic?
Seems unlikely, but not impossible I guess.

He's even older than me. Not by much though. Probably had more clubs than Tommy Docherty, who famously had "More clubs than Jack Nicklaus". And he's had a few countries as well. Probably his only failure was at Liverpool, but since one of his clubs was Palace he won't get a warm reception at the Valley, although you do have to respect his longevity. He'll undoubtedly tighten up the defence, which won't make for a thrilling spectacle, since we're usually set up to defend too.

Best get a few Hurlimanns down my throat pre-match to make the spectacle a little more pleasing <cheers>

Playing Football Manager:
Mannion,
Ramsay, Jones, Coady, Bell:
Clarke, Coventry, Carey, Fullah:
Kelman, Dykes.

With that team we wouldn't see a 0-0, which is quite likely with my predicted team.

On the day the only thing tighter than the formations will be the wallet of @Smudger603
