There’s no set formula for a good manager. You see people with no experience do good job and bad with bags of experience do a bad job.

There is however a good or bad fit for clubs. Spurs keep getting this wrong.

Spurs need to pick a manager who’s a good fit for the club otherwise they’re going down which would be disastrous for the club.
If so, at this point, with all things considered, it’s hard to look anywhere else other than Poch.

Just got a feeling it’s going to be De Zerbi , love what he did at Brighton but as a person no thanks.

We’ve obviously got someone already in the bag.

- Klopp please

I think we're gone, no matter who they appoint.

So, why not invite applications from rich benefactors?

Say, a coupl'a mill per game...or try to tie our sponsors to us by allowing their CEO's a game each?

They could raffle off the role our final PL game to season ticket renewals...

...the ****ers!

£50 million to run the team for a league game.

It might cover the cost of relegation at least.

Apparently the club want to appoint a permanent manager rather than another interim.

So 8 days since the Forest game and it seems they didn’t spend last week getting things sorted. Honestly the way they run the club is borderline neglect.

The board get a pass this time due to extenuating circumstances

It was sticking with Frank too long where the inaction was the issue

Extenuating circumstances meant they delayed the announcement of Tudor leaving. There’s no reason not to have someone ready to go. That’s how 8 days wasted. International break or not, the new guy could have been preparing etc before they were officially announced today

To me it just feels like they’re not realising how much trouble the club is in.

As a Leeds fan Ive been keeping an unusually close eye on you lot since xmas for obvious reasons. You go we stay. One thing that strikes me is the comparison between you now and last time we were relegated. We went insane with the sackings of managers near the end, one worse than the next, As for the players, our lot had given up with several games to go and players had their exit routes planned well in advance. Does it look familiar to you lot too. I think only thing that can save you is West Ham and the hope they actually manage less points than youy

If I was De Zerbi, I'd be asking for the moon as a basic wage, with the sun and stars as a bonus, if he keeps us up...

Having appointed Igor as a (very) temporary alternative to De Zerbi on a permanent (<laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>) basis, we clearly don't want him next season, so he might as well try filling his boots...no doubt, the club are trying to skimp on everything, as usual.

As COYS Daniel increasingly found, running the place like Billy Smart's Circus only served to attract clowns and drifters. Getting out of that doom loop is going to take time, money and hard, hard graft.

De Zerbi immediately coming in seems to be generating momentum.

Terrible appointment if he comes in. No idea how this myth has been generated that he’s any good.

Even if he keeps us up, he won’t be here for long as he never is wherever he goes and sure the toys will come out the pram at the first opportunity. I’d be amazed if he makes it one season (will be 7 game unless he keeps us up!)

No idea why we’re trying to get a permanent sorted now. We need someone to come in and keep us up, then once we know where we’ll be playing next season we can look at the permanent choices. Personally I’d say poch if we stay up, Scott Parker if we go down.

I thought Parker if we went down, but I don't think he would come to us, Burnley have showed him loyalty I think he is the sort of person who will replay that loyalty by staying put and who could blame him why leave a club who appear happy with him and his ability to get them back up for the basket case that is THFC.

Yeah, I’m not liking where this is heading either. De Zerbi stinks of absolute desperation to now bring in any old manager who has “PL experience” on their CV, whilst avoiding the “anti football” reputation types, because Tottenham Hotspur are too snobby for that. - To dare is to do, an’all that. <doh>
If De Zerbi comes in on a permanent basis and keeps us up (I don’t think he does to be honest), he’ll almost certainly lose his job in no time once the new season starts. But I suppose all the club are thinking is avoid relegation at all costs, regardless. And it’ll be cheaper to hire and fire again that the financial implications if we were to go down. I do get this perspective, as it is desperate times requiring desperate measures, but I don’t believe De Zerbi is the man for that interim job. Just don’t get that bit at all.

De Zerbi makes no sense for the predicament Spurs are in.

Call me old fashioned, but even if De Zerbi was the greatest coach in World football (Spoiler alert ...he ain't!) I don't think that this club needs right now - in this dire situation, with time fast running out - a guy who is 'considering' an approach by Spurs to become their new manager.

**** that! The very least of qualifications at this stage is someone who has already made his mind up that he wants the challenge.

I'm biased, cos De Zerbi would not be my choice anyway, but FFS!!
