City legend Steve Walsh gives his thoughts on Nigel Pearson, (article below.) I concur in all honesty, we just need patience. http://socyberty.com/holidays/pearson-will-be-one-of-the-best-insists-leicester-legend/
All I can say is give him time, constantly firing and hiring is a mistake a lot of foreign owners tend to make. I imagine you'll finish just outside the play-offs this season and then push for promotion next season. By the way, keep this on our board and I'm sure the wumming will begin...
Why is this on the Hull board? I agree though, he's got everything on his side apart from fan patience and we need to give him that.
....and a sense of humour; and a light touch; and a flair for attacking football; and the ability to deal with the media; and time for the fans; and - above all the (spurned) loyalty of his players.........
Good Old Captain Charisma!! If Lesteristan by some miracle get themselves promoted one year, can you imagine him on Match of the Day? Laughingstock!
Hardly see how any of those points (apart from a flair for attacking football, which he has) has anything to do with being a good manager?
I support the view that Pearson will in time become a good manager. But in the meantime, poor old Hull City have to settle for Nick Barmby who in time will be one of the countries great managers. We needed a cheap solution to build our squad and Nigel Pearson fitted in fine. Now he as gone and good luck to him.
Him and his type will be the death of football as a sport, grinding out points here and there, keeping it close not taking any chances. He is like a division two fat sam who knows how to not get a team relegated and accumulate points if given the right players but football is supposed to be about entertainment not just grinding out results!
Italy tend to go down that route and they do all right, both their domestic clubs and their international team. Pearson was starting to get City playing better football in patches. I actually quite like having the feeling that we're hard to break down and that we might not concede. On the other hand, there was some utter ****e that he brought in though. At least he got rid of Bullard.
There's no doubt that he built a good young team here without spending mega amounts......but, he did turn his back on them when the do$h was waived in front of him. If he doesn't rebuild Sven's cock-up in January adequately, his future at the crisp factory will be short lived.
Whats this got to do with Hull, should be on the Leicester board only, who cares about Pearson anymore he's yesterdays news
You know something, I was sat at home and couldn't get settled. I had this horrible nagging feeling that something was amiss in my fairly content life. It was almost as if the meaning of my life was 99% complete but that final 1% alluded me. With a moment of startling clarity it came to me. My quest for a complete existence was over. I NEEDED TO KNOW WHAT LEICESTER LEGEND STEVE WALSH THINKS OF NIGEL PEARSON. So for this thread I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have completed me and I will be eternally grateful for that. FFS.
