Great result and one I completely didn't see coming both when I woke up this morning and when the team sheet was announced.

Was the opposite to Wednesday night in that I don't think anybody played poorly. If I had to pick a best player I'd probably say Downes but I thought everybody did really well.

That save from Peretz in the first half was astonishing. Alan Blayney-esque.

Penalty was soft as ****, even Cov fans afterward said never a pen. Glad it didn't cost us.

Charles made a tackle/interception at 2-1 which was absolutely exceptional. Undoubtedly as good as a goal.

Word for Manning as although I felt he was rightly dropped for Wellington he's been excellent since coming back into the team and was again today.

Loaning out Bree in the summer seems dafter and dafter by the week.

Only downside from today was the '**** Steven Gerrard' chant getting more traction than the one calling his uncle a ****.
I absolutely agree, it came up on my YouTube short reels and felt, frankly, ashamed in that was in ‘our name’. Come on people we’re better than that.

When we got on the bus to go back to the train station, a woman gave us a seriously dirty look (if looks could kill!!) and then got up to ask the driver if away fans were allowed on “our” bus. When he said yes I gave her a lovely smile as she went marching back to her seat. She was not happy <laugh>
How rude!

On the whole, of the fans I saw (and heard), they didn’t take that defeat well at all.

Was weird how some of them clearly kept hitting/kicking the shutter while we were on our way out.

Ones I actually spoke to were sound in fairness though.

It's just tragic and childish imo. Would much prefer we'd remind him how much we hate his uncle.
