We're not having Turkey for Christmas, this year. In the HIAG household, we are thinking of going with a large, free-range chicken. Cheaper, more succulent, and far tastier, in my humble opinion.
Quick fact check: * The Ottomans originated in the Middle East * The Ottomans overthrew Constantinople * With Constantinople overthrown, their flag - the crescent - became the flag of Turkey As for "Arabic isn't their official language", there's several problems with that: 1.) It's not the official language of Iran either, and you'll find it hard to say Iran isn't an Arabic nation 2.) There's more than one version of Arabic - there's three versions of the language in Saudi Arabia alone 3.) The Turkish language is derived from the Ottoman language, which is heavily influenced by Persian. In other words, I know how to do some research...
You may be confusing Islamic nations with Arabic ones. I think both Turkey and Iran are in the first category but not the second. For sure, neither are in the Arab league.
I'm afraid you are making the big mistake of confusing Islamic/Middle Eastern with Arab. Persians and therefore Iranians are NOT Arabs. Arabs are Semitic peoples that originate from the Arabian peninsular. Not just all muslims from the Middle East.
