We've triggered an extension, but in talks to sign a new longer term contract.
My fear is we've triggered this as he wants to go the Sheff Utd and we want a fee for him.

I’m working with a colleague today from sheffield , who used to be a wag, she was telling me she has been to a party at Jude Bellinghams house , and spoken to Marcus Rashford but she can’t understand why I’m more excited she was in same class as Regan Slater at school and is good mates with his girlfriend , and wondering why I’ve asked more questions about him
He wasn’t anywhere near their squad at the time, he was a reserve player that couldn’t break through. Truth be told I don’t even think he was even really at our level but was a cheap and easy squad filler that offered continuity having been here the season before at a time we needed bodies through the door. Had we not signed him he probably would have been dropping down to league one. I don’t recall any animosity around his departure.
