yes but now you cant just travel with your other nation passport and visa (or meet the requirements) if you are a British Citizen you must have a British passport (or Entitlement Certificate) or an Airline could prevent you boarding if you have a known record as being a British Citizen.I really thought that was always the case, if dual national and overseas and want to enter the UK you need a valid UK passport OR travel with your other nation passport and meet all visa requirements for that nation.
is a good day / night out, always used to like Newcastle as a youngster but think i prefer Liverpool now.She did

Was planning to do similar India Agra etc. But my wife bagged it did not fancy it. Still interested since think it would be a great experience, anywhere in india you would avoid. i see you missed Delhi. Where you travelling from the UK or elsewhere. We went to India and Nepal last year; Amritsar, Agra, Lucknow, Varanasi, Delhi, Kathmandu, The Himalayas. Absolutely amazing, fascinating and mental. Three weeks - really full on but a great experience.
We're planning to go to Vietnam and/or Cambodia & Laos later this year or early next.

....Rovers and the road was washed away in front and behind their convoy.I would avoid Leh. (Jammu and Kashmir)
My daughter went there in 2010 as part of her "elective" whilst in med school.
The plan was to trek into the Himalayas (organised) and set up up medical tents in remote villages that are often cut off for 8/9 months of the year and offer medical treatment for the villagers.
Enroute from Leh to the villages, horrendous storms hit the region. Mudslides everywhere. They were travelling in a convoy of Land R
Just general stuff from bad reviews - numerous strict security checks, pulling passengers aside for on the spot body searches, possessions being stolen from bags, the general cleanliness of the airport.Flew in and out of it once, about 8 years ago.
It was fine. What's meant to be the problem with it?

I've renewed mine the last two times by online application and then posting it recorded delivery, and a new one has been sent out and received within two weeks. It's not an issue for me as I have dual citizenship, but can imagine it's not a too comfortable feeling if you have to send off your only ID in a less secure country, but what's the alternative. How odd, I mean it sort of makes sense but what is it they are trying to stop or achieve.
I used to be able to get a new passport at a UK embassy, sometimes even the same day but now from most countries you have to send your old one to some central hub and then they send you a new one, that can take 3 weeks or more.
Not good to be without a passport in a foreign country so I can see why it appeals to come back to the UK and renew it here.
Obvious answer is to come back before it expires and renew it here.
I was in Lima for a week in January. I was pretty busy most of the time but got to look about a bit. Big city but clean, good food and as you say, friendly people. Got my morning coffee from what today has been listed as one of top 100 coffee shops in the world, so even better (also got it in 2025 see below). Got a bit of a taste for Pisco as well, too much of that stuff would be a rough night! Would love to return and see the rest of the country. If we're doing holiday recommendations, we're recently back from Peru. It's a fantastic country with so many places to go and things to see that even multiple visits would barely scratch the surface. People are lovely as well.
Spoke to someone earlier who’d booked a trip there yesterday, cancelled today and they had to pay a £200 admin fee!!! (Don’t know when they were planning to go)Well I don’t think our kids off to Dubai next week!!!
