Personal nature I imagine some people get riled up more than others.
I'm actually a pussy, if you knew me outside of this you'd know I'm **** at arguments and never get involved in them haha.
Now a good debate on the other hand...love a bit of that ;) ha

Just a thought, but why the **** are the Newcastle fans so pissed off? What has this got to do with them? Wigan fans I can understand, as it was their player who got clobbered. Arsenal fans, fair enough, having Rooney banned could help their title bid. Chelsea fans would like to see him miss our match tomorrow. Even the bitter Berties and scousers, I wouldn't be surprised to see them having a moan just because they hate us. But the Geordies? They've not been our rivals for 15 years!

Except there wouldn't be an instant ban for a smaller team. There wasn't for Martins in 2009:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nited-star-wars-clash-Newcastles-Martins.html

Or for Shearer at numerous points in his career:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-370058/Newcastles-Mary-Poppins-escapes-again.html

Or even for the Grimsby bloke who elbowed Shearer in 2005:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/grimsby-deny-shearer-elbow-512807.html

I think the fact that a League 2 player gets away with elbowing Alan Shearer in the face and causing him three stitches is a pretty clear sign that small clubs get away with it too...

Just cuz there's more of us on here I imagine, plus the whole Barton and Williamson incidents. We agree with Barton and such getting banned, but it's a bit of a kick in the teeth when other players dont for worse things is all. It's the FA we're kicking off about mate, not United themselves.
Plus, ya know, I'm on here at quarter to 4 in the afternoon. I clearly have nothing to do. Banter is aaalllways appreciated.

Calm down ponyboy , we are not pissed off at your fans , we are pissed off at the FA. Let's be honest , if Barton did what Rooney did , would he get away with it? Of course not.

Williamson shoved Elmander when we played Bolton away in November , the referee saw it but decided not to act and just gave a free kick , however after the game the FA banned Williamson for 3 games even though the referee had seen the incident. Barton punched Pedersen against Blackburn and the ref failed to spot it. After the game though he was rightfully suspended for 3 games.

So why did Rooney get away with it? Doesn't sound like coincidence to me.

Lads, lads, **** happens in football that makes no sense, always has and always will.

So rooney got away with it, he wasnt the only one in the match to do so, Caldwell was wreckless on Evra but end of the day its all said and done now.

Next weekend something else will happen, probably to an arsenal player and there will be uproar for how dare anyone tackle them.

    HOW VERY DARE THEY!

Well you've certainly done your research haha

It just shows the systems corrupt. Players should get banned for these but don't.
The thing is mate, if it happened to us and we got away with it, we wouldn't immediately post cocky messages around. (See; the 'Outrage' thread, and of course this one)
It's just cocky fans thinking they're above everyone and that the FA have done them 'justice' when clearly is all bollocks and the FA don't know what they're doing.

We'll just agree to disagree, but agree that FA are stupid.

(And, as 5 goals said...Williamsons offence was punished with a free kick much in the same way Rooney's was. Yet Willo got banned, whereas Rooney didn't even though his was much worse. I don't care what happened 6 or so years ago, this is a case of the same things happening within months of each other in the same season but with different results from the FA)

In all of these situations , the player was going for the ball. The ball was nowhere to be seen when Rooney elbowed Mccarthy.

    Cos the rules are ****.

Ref doesn't see it - FA can act.
Ref sees it and cocks it up - FA can't act.

Makes no sense to anyone, and we've had our fair share of **** from that decision - remember the retroactive ban Ferdinand got last season?

We all agree the FA are **** at their jobs obviously, so we can stop arguing on that.

I just think Swarbs that your fellow members shouldn't get so cocky when they get away with it, it's just not cricket I'm afraid.
(any "no you're right, it's not cricket it's football" jokes will not be appreciated)

Just a good memory. And the fact that Shearer was well known for it...

Not corrupt, just useless all round!
Our fans are only reacting cos as soon as the news came out that the FA probably couldn't do anything about it all the ABUs wheeled out the usual "They only get away with it cos they're Utd". The "Outrage" thread is clearly taking the piss out of people who demand Utd players get severely punished for the same thing that any number of players have gotten away with in the past.

It doesn't matter where the ball is, you still can't elbow someone in the face!! Elbow to the face = red card in all circumstances. Unless the useless ref sees it and cocks it up of course...

    No its not cricket.

Its not a disgraceful corrupt sport :D

But yes, the FA are dire at their jobs. I mean may aswell hire a couple of dead rats to run the FA, would be an improvement.

It's just mainly Jordan I'm afraid.
He comes to our board **** stirring for no reason
At least we came with a genuine reason for debate.
And it's been lovely, it really has.
