Why are Newcastle fans calling United cheats though?

It is the FA's deficiency that has allowed Rooney's actions to go unpunished....

Well, you're a toon fan so I'm sure you'll remember this one:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nited-star-wars-clash-Newcastles-Martins.html

I think Martins wasn't even booked. And let's not forget:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/grimsby-deny-shearer-elbow-512807.html

If some lower league lad can elbow England's blue eyed boy in the face and get away with it, I think it shows players from "smaller" teams often get away with it as well, right?

Jordan is merely responding to all the people posting the usual crap that "Rooney must be banned", "he's a dirty thug", "Utd always get away with it", "all the refs and the FA are bent", whilst ignoring the truth about the rules and the fact that numerous players (including Toon players) have gotten away with much worse over the years.

As for the drugs test, well what could be more serious than cocaine? Yet Mutu gets seven months for that, Rio gets a whole season for a missed test despite having tried to submit his sample later that same day.

This whole thing isn't even a big deal....
The bottom line is that the referee didn't view it as a red card incident, at the time.
Whether he does now, having viewed replays is irrelevant.
Whether 99% of people believe it was is irrelevant.

Rio - I know one of the assessors for the FA who adjudicate these hearings and the widely believed story is - Rio fessed up to having a recreational narcotic in his system. Fergie gave him two choices - Face it and suffer the drugs shame or walk out the door and pretend you forgot about the test, look like an absent minded tit who blatantly took coke but never had anything proven.

He was hammered by the FA because no professional player "forgets" to take a random test.

He served his ban, came back to the club, demanded a new contract, got one and there you go.

Mutu, a potential world star, got 7 months from the FA, sacked by the club for being a tit and now owes us £15 million whilst trying to scrabble a career together with lesser teams in Italy.

I wouldn't say he got off with anything.

The rules are stupid and you know it. **** the ref, violent conduct should be looked into.
It wouldn't be so bad if you guys aren't the type to kick off if a similar thing happens with pool or arsenal or chelsea

It's not United mate, it's Rooney and the FA most definitely.
You have to agree Rooney was a bit of a **** and deserves a ban for it, whether the FA do or not. There was no question about it.

Plus, a lot of manc fans *cough*jordan*cough* have been quite bitter and immature about the whole situation. I just find it ridiculous that some Manc fans complain when other teams get let off for things like this then laugh in the face of others when they get let off for similar things. It's pure contradictory.

    It's nailed on mate<ok>

From his point of view, with his endorsements and profile etc you can see why he'd have preferred to look like an imbecile.

    Hartson, Gerrard, Drogba, Carragher, Fabregas.....

Just a few who get away with plenty yet no one says a thing.

Wonder why, what have the all got in common....oh thats it, they dont play for Man Utd. Of course.

What's going on with all the nutty Toon fans who just seem to have come on here to shout abuse? Have they stopped putting the Ritalin in the water in Newcastle?

@SW6 I haven't actually heard that before, but it doesn't surprise me. Rio seems to be another of the ones who just doesn't think before acting. Much like Wayne, Cashley, Mutu, Gerrard and countless others...

Everyone agrees with that. The FA probably agree with it as well, they're just too pussy to actually change the rule...

Like no other fans have ever done the same? Besides which, we wouldn't need to laugh if every ABU under the sun had come out to have a pop and a complain. I mean come on, if Rooney was still playing for Everton and had done the same thing, no one would have even noticed. Just like they didn't when Martins got away with a worse elbow against Vidic in 2009. But since he plays for Utd and is one of our star players, everyone unleashes the **** storm. Same as Cantona, Beckham, Keane, Rio and Ronaldo before him.

Surely Rio wouldnt of been made united captain ever if he had taken drugs.

Also the person SW6 claims to know will be instructed to not speak of the hearing, he could get into some very serious trouble over doing so so I am unconvinced.

There should be instant bans for people saying others should die.

    Not on at all.

People would notice, if it happened to a smaller team there'd be an instant ban therefore no big media thing about it. If Barton hadn't got banned then the media would kick up a storm even more, but he got banned and everyone got on with their lives. Rooney puts himself in the spotlight so when things like this happen, there's bound to be media attention.

Glad we agree on the rule though. I have to admit it is in the rules if the ref saw it, so can't do anything about it. But hopefully this kicks the FA up the arse so they change the rule.
