What about him on loan till the end of the season. Not getting many games at Chelsea.
Big, Strong and quick and young enough to be keen to play most weeks.

Yeah, as Dan says there is a ruling that prohibits players playing for 3 clubs in a season and AVB has said Lukaku won't be going anywhere partly due to the striker shortage we will face when ACON pops up <ok>

He will start getting games for Chelsea very soon.

The fans are keen on him to start, with the hope of Lukaku replacing Drogba.

Maybe we should make a cheeky loan bid for Torres, that'd be more likely.

I agree, he had a good run out against Arsenal reserves and scored a good goal. He struggled with fitness at first but is getting up to scratch. He is a young boy with a great attitude and desire to improve, I think you'll definitely start seeing him feature for us more after the New Year. The plan is for Lukaku to replace Drogba and then a signing in January or Summer to replace Anelka and possibly Kalou.

Torres will still be the main striker, although I am starting to wonder why he hasn't even featured in any of the games, it seems bizarre management from AVB <ok>

Maybe we should swap Taarabt for Torres as they both don't seem to be playing at the moment. :emoticon-0116-evilg

Well we could do with a creative midfielder and you could do with a striker so maybe :afro:

You can have Torres for nothing... I'll even give him a lift

Harsh HBlue, Harsh. Torres looked like he was getting there up until that reckless red card. At the moment I'd still have him over Drogba anyday <ok>

That is true. But the red card was his fault

I still think with a bit of man-management Torres could have a huge impact on your season but AVB seems intent on alienating certain players.

Totally agree. A blind man and his dog can see Torres is sharper than Drogba atm. If he can score at Old Trafford then I trust he would be able to score anywhere, confidence is a huge factor and I feel AVB has ostracised him and dented his confidence by not playing him at all <ok>

Luka-WHO? Showing my ignorance now! :embarrassed:

So I did some research, and DON'T like the last 3 words.....

Lukaku was the subject of an acclaimed television documentary series called De School Van Lukaku (Lukaku's School) shown on the Dutch-speaking Eén network. The reality show followed the teenage Lukaku and his classmates during the course of a year at the Saint-Guidon Institute, a multi-cultural school in Brussels, where the footballer was based while with the Anderlecht youth team. In 2009, the series followed the school as it made a field trip to London visiting Chelsea's Stamford Bridge ground. Lukaku said at the time: “What a stadium. If one day in my life I will cry, it will be the day I play here. I love Chelsea.” <doh>
