No bugger would be scoring with 2000 Slaters on the pitch!

I thought the hull nana chant at the end of the match was well done. Polite applause and got Liam to wave, but then a much louder plea for Sergej to wave, and an enthusiastic chorus of “sergej’s barmy army” from those of us still in East Stand. The message was very much “we finally get to say thanks Liam - but we’re loyal to Sergej now”. I also thought the earlier renditions were more to needle the away fans than anything else.

My views on the homophobic chanting.
I was watching on TV so I didnt hear any but that doesnt mean there wasnt any.
I dont think there was anything hateful about Chelsea rent boy chants. Nobody takes it seriously.
I dont agree with racist chanting but if anybody called me, a white man, a black bastard it wouldnt get taken seriously.
Similarly, if anybody called me, an heterosexual man, a rent boy it wouldnt bother me in the slightest.
The above name calling is meant as a joke.
If actual black people or rent boys were offended by such chants that is a different matter.

Using raped children as an insult for a joke isn't seen as funny anymore though.

I watched about a dozen or so Chelsea fans, male, mid 20/30's? in the bottom of the North Stand, West Stand corner spend all the game ridiculing City fans of all ages,, sex, size etc sat not 12' away from them. Saw them pointing at their front teeth then pointing at the City section laughing, doing the 'loadsamoney' actions, then pointing and laughing at the City fans, the mock 'mauled be the tigers' action every time they scored ( we expect that to be fair) they kept the mocking insults up all game,
We pay your benefits' being a particular favourite which they all found hilarious and of course 'Hull is a ****hole' They picked out one 'large' young girl and gave her a load of abuse about her weight and so on. People wearing glasses were singled out too, all very, very childish. This was in front of three uniformed policemen and a gaggle of stewards.
Two City fans were ejected for daring to give them some back. Nothing happened to the away fans who kept this up all game, why they bother buying a ticket when they don't even look at the pitch is beyond me but....
So why is a couple of individuals allegedly chanting 'Chelsea rent boys' any different? I saw a couple of young girls and a couple of parents with young kids get up and move, even leave? who were in earshot of these Chelsea gobshites.
I know its football and personally like the post above, it does not effect me at all, I've heard it all before, it's even considered a part of the day out because I can give as much as get.
The 'Hull is a ****hole' chant offends me.
But don't think the New York Times will interested enough to carry an headline about my discomfort, every week for decades now. The Hull Daily Mail certainly wouldn't and I yet to see anyone appear in court for chanting it.
As I said in an earlier a post, storm in a very small teacup.

The last time we played at Arsenal we were very near their fans. A cockney gobshite took me on verbally, perceived insult for insult, he lost and he knew it, his mates with him also let him know he'd lost.

I didn’t hear it either so I should add I am not outraged by what happened on Friday.

However, whether it’s meant as a joke or not it’s an offensive chant against LGBT people. I highly doubt most people know that but it doesn’t really matter.

If I had have heard it on Friday night I’d have been hurt that supporters of my own club are happy to chant something that targets something I don’t control.

Mens football has a clear image problem against LGBT people. A significant proportion of LGBT people feel like mens football is not for them. This is part of the reason. Whilst you may think it’s ’just a joke and no harm done’ for many it opens old wounds and tells them they are not welcome.

Anyone who was part of the chant should be ashamed. There’s many a chant they could have targeted against Chelsea, this doesn’t have to be one of them and should be consigned to the bin.

That said, I think the way the FA goes about this is vastly flawed and doesn’t help.

North-West corner is the home end. Why didn’t stewards eject them for being away supporters in the home end?

Why is it an offensive chant against LGBT people? are all LGBT people rent boys?
If Chelsea fans sang: "you're just a bunch of rapists" I wouldn't give a damn.
Should I think football is not for me?
Should I think consensual sex is not for me?
People shouldnt over react.
