No disgrace losing 4-0 with only half (at best) of our first choice eleven. But it does show the difference in class and what we would have to spend to even stay up if we did get promoted.

That wasn’t anywhere near our strongest championship side, arguably had 5 of our most influential key players missing, and 3/4 of the premier league aren’t as good as Chelsea , no need to panic about any potential promotion

Certainly is a gulf in class between the EPL & the Championship, which showed in the 2nd half. I must say watching it on the BBC is not IMO an enjoyable experiece, they give very little mention or comment on the lesser side and it's all about Chelsea.
Quite a gulf between top half and bottom half of the EPL, we're a further big step back

I think where we are at this exact moment is where Sunderland were last season. Their fans saying who would make the jump, who wouldn't. They went up through the play offs and invested and it's paid off. Of course they have a lot of money behind them, bit who's to say Acun wouldn't get backers to do that... whatever happens the next 3 months is going to be fabulous...

If he stayed left he could put it back into the middle if the ball goes long.
Alternatively he can take the corner then drift central to recycle anything.

It's a very common practice and how Chelsea scored their second to have a left footer on the right or a right footer on the left for corners if you want to put the ball on top of the keeper.

Don’t think we disgraced ourselves, to be honest. I mean, we didn’t play well but Prem teams have played worse this season against Chelsea.

They’re a squad worth over a billion pounds against a Championship team with a transfer fee restriction.
Agreed. We played a top Premier League team, who played like a top Premier League team and strolled to victory. The mistake we made was not selecting players as good as theirs. Rookie error.

Didn’t think we were too bad but they were just too good. Neto got 3 but I thought Santos for them ran the game and was the best player on the pitch by a mile.

Gelhardt looked lively when he came on so that’s something to look forward to at least.

What gets me is exactly what Curtis said post match. Cannot understand defenders not concentrating on getting their head on those near post corners. Not excusing the keeper as he made some mistakes but not that goal direct from the corner. Defenders fault all day long. Then Lundstram not stopping Neto . Basic stuff. Hope we are more on it in the league.
