Just watched the boy score 4 times for Huddersfield on Saturday, is the jump from 1st Division to the Premier League to great, He scored 2 good headed goals and 2 great right footed strikes,after watchinf Betty on Sunday i was wondering if hes worth a punt.
Definitely worth going in for, but only if we buy one other striker. Wouldn't want us pinning all our hopes on a young striker, untested in the Prem.

We really need - as ColdharbourR suggests - someone who has a proven PL pedigree BUT these guys aren't cheap or readily available, and many will be most effective when playing in a particular system Undoubtedly Rhodes has great potential but as Beckford found, the jump from League 1 to Prem is enormous I am concerned about our lack of goals, and the fact that we've had to rely on HH for a big chunk of what we have scored, and I think that confidence within the team will surge if we get a regular goal scorer. There was tangible deflation at LR yesterday when Rooney scored as many couldn't see where our equaliser would come from

Stopped reading at Huddersfield really. Put it this way, Bothroyd would destroy league one. Rhodes is definately not the type of player we should be going in for.
To be honest i dont want a "punt" I want a player who knows where the net is! And at 3 million is way way over-valued.
If he's only 21 does that mean we can use him, but not have to name him as one of the 25 man squad? Not sure on the ruling sorry.
