By far the best I,ve tasted are the traditional hand raised pork pies made by, Peter Imisons butchers on Boothferry Rd.
as i said in my initial post, I have never had a problem getting the perfect porker in calderland, bradford or the leeds area. Hull however!!! Why dont Hull pork pies have jelly in?
I cant give any specifics regarding the jelly, but there is some in there, not too much mind, but there again its not skimped on. I personaly find the jelly content/quality very favourable and it has consistantly suited my families christmas needs very well.
Not being funny pal but we can put man on the moon. Wrapping some sausage meat around a boiled egg and rolling it in bread crumbs is hardly the stuff of Newton or Einstein.
I used get mine from Fields and thought they were ok! But try this........Jelly guaranteed..Glaves butcher’s, in Brompton by Sawdon North Yorks http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/mos...he-surprise-You-dont-stop-Melton-Mowbray.html
