Yeah I was, it was quite disgusting. 'Outstanding' and MOTM? OK he scored but it was the same snarling spitting thing he always does. Far better candidates were the QPR keeper or Nani/Valencia I thought. And love his new haircut, it's 'special'
Like a knife through butter! How was that only 0-2? Ten if they had their shooting boots I know it was the Champions, but I found that performance very worrying, onto Wednesday and that is a must win. Anyway I did enjoy seeing Rooney close up, class act.
» @tonyfernandes Tony Fernandes People got to remember they are the champions and top of the league. We will get there. Rome wasn't built in a day.
Agree about Rooney....he is a class act! I don't get why you say on here that the performance was "very worrying"", but on another thread you agree that people are simply moaning!! You can't have it both ways mate. Also, Adel looked very good when he came on, laying on a sitter for DJ with the kind of sublime pass that Barton can only dream of being able to play!
I can and will Col! agree Adel looks like he might be back on it, needs to start Weds, if Joe allows it!
I agree, I'd have given it to Nani personally. What they said about Giggs shocked me, they can't read papers and completely alienate themselves from television. I usually like Wilkins but today he was so biased. Rooney was definitely not outstanding aswell.
QPR are so bad they made Michael Carrick look like Lionel Messi - Goal.com By Nick Price Best Lionel Messi impression Michael Carrick (Manchester United) The oft-derided midfielder showed that he's not just about sideways passes and half-heartedly covering ground with a composed and classy display in the win over QPR, and capped it off with a virtuoso solo goal reminiscent of the Argentine wizard. Well, it was and it wasn't. The England man received the ball after Joey Barton carelessly passed it in his direction on the halfway line and though he did dribble a full 40 yards, he was allowed to get himself into a shooting position at a snail's pace and without a single challenge being made to him. And his shot, slapped low, hardly had enough zip or spin on it to trouble Radek Cerny, but somehow the Czech – who had been having a supernaturally good game up to that point – let it slip through his grasp and in at his near post. Whoops. All the same, hats off to Carrick for showing that he isn't the most uninspiring midfielder to regularly turn out for a title-winning team. That honour now belongs to John Obi Mikel.
