Newcastle v West Brom (1945 GMT)

The quality of West Brom's goals against Blackburn were outstanding. They just had a little bit more in them than their opponents and it was a great result.

Newcastle are going through a stage where they can't win, and haven't done so in five.

Fortunes can change so quickly in the Premier League, however. I'm becoming more and more impressed by Demba Ba. He was impressive on Saturday but just didn't score. He puts the opposition under pressure and you can't bully him in the box.

    Prediction: 2-1

I like how he's praised us but still makes no sense. "Newcastle are playing badly, WBA are in good form and just won away... Newcastle win." <laugh>

We have a good chance, hopefully they wont park the bus like Swansea did. 30 points would be a lovely Christmas present.

We should be fine, I can't see them scoring more than 1, if that. Ba will destroy their defence.

I thought Tash had turned into one of our resident doom-mongerers... then I clicked on the link. I am now in agreement.

    We're doomed.

    He nearly did though.

My only concern is that they will play a 4-5-1, and without Cabaye we won't get enough of the ball in midfield.

You seem oblivious to the fact he predicted is correct against Swansea

  10. 4-4-1-1 would be fine

We will lack Cabaye's vision and creative skills, but we will be with HBA's runs, ability to skin defenders and clever little short through balls.

He could have scored 1 and created 1 vs City, he was unlucky.

Ha. So he sees us draw a blank v Swansea and sees WBA win away from home..............but says we will win?

He doesnt even stick to his own guns of putting us down when you most expect it.

    Good old Lawro!

<laugh> Lawro makes no sense; when we were winning all the time he was always predicting us not to win, now we are not winning he is predicting us to win. Is his blueprint for his predicitons just to predict the opposite of team's form.

It isn't even his predictions that annoy me. He does get some right. It is usually the stuff he writes that annoys me and his general lack of knowledge about football!

One thing that annoys me is when, on match of the day, he talks as if he has watched the entire game for every game. On your average day you can get say seven matches on a Saturday. 7 games times by 90 mins is 630 minutes. Divide that by 60 is 10 and a half hours of football. So no wonder they always give **** analysis on there...there is no way they have seen every single game...just the best bits!

Like the positivity but this means we are double ****ed. No chance he'll get it right two weeks on the bounce!

    Found this:

Manager Roy Hodgson had this to say on the injuries:

“Morrison has got a slight hamstring problem and had to come off,” “Mulumbu is nursing his knee and Scharner, who hasn’t played for a while, was feeling some tension in a muscle.”

“It’s a question on Monday of seeing how many walking wounded there are and who we can get up there.” “But we’ve got a decent squad of players and there are players I can bring into the team who didn’t play today.”

“They might have to stand up and be counted.”

  20. Sharner out would be a massive boost!

He's a beast in both boxes.
