Where are you getting this budget **** from? obviously supposition as Bruce was promised a 20 million quid January war chest, that will apply to O'Niel also.

If you're going to come out with statements like that then back it with hard facts cos now you are talking drivvel.

And talking of 'implosion' you've taken 1 point from your last 5 games, hardly good form is it?

I think some people forget that Ba didn't do much at all during his first few games (personally I believe it was ramadan as he improved markedly once it ended).

    Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal
    Sunderland 0-1 Newcastle
    Newcastle 2-1 Fulham
    QPR 0-0 Newcastle
    Aston Villa 1-1 Newcastle
    Newcastle 1-0 Wigan
    Newcastle 2-1 Everton
    Newcastle 0-0 Swansea

SIXTEEN of our 27 points came without Ba scoring a single goal.

Plus, most of those games were without HBA returning to form yet, and all of these games were without the striker we are supposedly going to sign in January.

We really don't rely on him as much as people think. If Ba was out, a striker like Best (6 goals in 10 starts last season) (or our new striker, if we get one) would go on with HBA behind him, who was looking near back to his best against Man City. I'd be more than happy with that attack force - especially as we have Santon playing well now, and Jonas can now bomb forward and attack more (he's been extremely defensive this season to help Raylor and basically offered nothing in attack, even though we've still had a great start).

Or could of just been finding his feet in a new team?

Wasnt stating that if he didnt score then uz dont accumulate points (as u very nicely highlighted), was more trying to state that its undeniable that he has been in excellent OVERALL form this season (surely on a different level to nething Shola/Lovenkrands/Best) can produce and I think that if he lost form/became injured etc. that coinciding with the injury to Steven Taylor could cause a minor slide.

I love this great manager crack...... Got Leicester to the prem, made Villa mediocre, Won stuff with Celtic (which even Strachan managed)..... One out of two games so far hahaha, yeah hes a true great.

You arent stable, the right money comes in your chairman sells (Bent, Henderson...) same as us. Your wages were 90% of turnover last season.... what business plan?????

    Another oxygen thief lands.
Points out how good MON is, then sticks in the word mediocity to deride him.
The Villa fans would love some more of that top 6 mediocrity. <ok>

I don't doubt that one bit. Every team performs better with their best striker at the helm. I suppose this was more in response to those who think that we solely rely on Ba, and that if he's ever out we're going to somehow crash and burn. It's utter nonsense.

Personally I think Ba looked sluggish and unfit near the start of the season, and so did Tiote. Considering they were both participating in ramadan, and that they both got back to their usual best once ramadan was over, suggests to me that it has something to do with it perhaps. Seems too much of a coincidence to me.
