The Championship is the sort of league where crap strikers can suddenly look amazing if the team around them plays to their style. The likes of Akpom, Szmodics, Brereton Diaz have all had 20+ goal seasons, but in most other seasons been a bit rubbish.

So let's just hope we somehow get Larin to click.

The nature of this league combined with some irrational optimism on my part almost makes me think "A centre back up top? Might work that."

Agreed. At times this season I've half wanted us to stick THB up front.

If we are going into the last 16 games with just Stewart and Larin then we might have to find out. Quarshie up front it is.

I'm taking the piss out of this from SR, but as soon as we sign this guy he'll get my backing until he proves that he is the latest SR donkey.
I do agree that he needs to be ready to hit the ground running, because even if Stewart does miraculously go the rest of the season without an injury, he won't be able to play every game. He can't play more than 60 minutes at the moment. And the worry there is that Larin has barely played this season. So how ready is he?

Suspect we'll be seeing more of Oyekunle and Dipepa. Which is fine as third choice.

If it was third choice behind 2 reliable strikers then I'd agree. But we can't be relying on Stewart, even for half a season. And Larin has barely played this season, and has never played in England. He might come in and be good, and Stewart might go against everything that we've experienced with him over the past 3 years and stay fit. But those are two massive ifs. And then Oyekunle isn't 3rd choice anymore, we'll be relying on him whether he's ready for first team football or not.

Is there any confirmation re Archer yet? Definitely feels like we need another if he goes too.

So the plan is to shift out three strikers and bring in just one?

That would leave us with two senior strikers, one of which is made of glass and the other who's barely played.

Selling Arma makes sense if he wants to go - it never pays to keep a player who has no desire to be here.
I'm starting to think I should submit my kids show reel as we would seem to have no scouting department at all and no connection to the rest of the football world and are just signing players who message us on facebook and ask for a game.
'any footy on the weekend?'
'yes mate' 'kickaround at St Marys Sat Arvo, bring your own black shorts and socks'

Paul Warhust did a pretty good job foe Sheff Wednesday and that was i. The prem. Matt Elliot did a job for Leicester too.

I think we need to give up on taking punts on foreign strikers. We need to look at up and coming strikers in the lower leagues who could do the job. I see several in Div 1 who good do a really good job. They seem to score lots of goals..
Lights litmus paper and bed time for me

Yeah there is a guy called Ballard or something in League one isn’t there?
