Yea, i'm sure he much prefers to be on the bench for 2 games running.

Ridiculous point. He may prefer the no.10 role but so what. He will play anywhere at a 100%, as long as he plays.

Said it before but neither Ben Arfa or Jonas are good crossers. Might as well play Raylor on the right if you're doing it for the delivery.

Ha, you do come out with some crackers. Where have you developed this belief that Ben Arfa cant cross?!

From all the times he has played on the wing for us and failed......?

Take a wild guess. From when he's crossed the ball and it hasnt been a very good cross, you absolute moron. He's played most of his career on the right side of an attack and isnt a goalscorer, which means he must be poor at crossing. Whenever he's crossed the ball for us I havent been impressed. You happy?

Some good crossers of the ball would be Raylor, Marveaux, Cabaye, Guthrie, maybe even Ferguson.

So his crossing that you have witnessed in bucket loads for us (when was this, in the 4 games he played last year or the handful of games at No.10 role this year?) is it worse then Obertan's 'efforts' or Jonas's left footed 'efforts'. Thats all I am interested in. All the names you claim can cross admirably are true. I agree. Well done.

Fact is HBA would get down the wing and whip a ball in with relative ease. Or pick someone out with a cut back. The lad is class. Crossing the ball will be an absolute breeze to him.

On what basis would he whip in a ball with ease? He played LW last season in his only real game for us and made one cross I remember, to Routledge. He's not a typical touchline hugging winger who runs down the line and hoists a ball into the box, he's got so much more in his locker than that. If we turned him into a limited winger like that we'd be wasting him. If you want someone on the left who run down the line and stick some nice crosses in, Marveaux/Ferguson are the men to do it, not HBA.

Well Marveaux is injured and Ferguson isnt good enough nor fit enough at the moment.

Im talking the here and now. The option of either Ben Arfa on the left wing is a better one then Jonas in purely attacking sense. Especially with 2 big men up front crying out for service. You mean you dont frustrated when Jonas cant or refuses to cross the ball in when he goes down the outside of the full back?! If you dont you are the only one.

Jonas is frustrating but I think Ben Arfa would be wasted on the wing, he can do so much more in the centre.

When the team is fully fit Marveaux on the left wouldn't have me moaning.

Once again, im talking the here and now.

I didnt even mention Marveaux in that quote. Here and now, I think Ben Arfa would be wasted on the wing and clearly Pardew agrees. I'm trying to keep track of about 4 different arguments with you here.

I demand a new thread thats just you arguing that football tactics aren't as black and white as Bano thinks, which seems to be the underlying principle of all 4 threads...

<laugh> it is basically the point of each argument. It doesnt matter, I guarantee there'll be an article post WBA about something or other.

Well Pardew is spot on then.

In fact everything he does is spot on.

We arent qualified to argue or question it so lets all agree with everything he does. Lead the way Smudge.

Maybe we should have played Santon in CM instead, that would be a stroke of managerial genius <whistle>

No, no. You're right. Pardew is a disaster waiting to happen and if he doesnt shape up soon relegation is on the cards. If Ben Arfa doesnt play the 90 minutes against West Brom and score a double hatrick then that's the last straw for Pardew. And why isnt every single player coming on as a sub after 70 minutes?? They need minutes!! Minutes make everything better.

Takes me hours to get fully wasted in the pub. Bloody expensive too.
