If any mid-to-bottom side gets a bad run of results, or one bad result, what do people say?

"They will be low on confidence"
"They would have lost their will to fight"
    "Their bubble has burst"

If a team like Man Utd get a bad result or run of results, what do people say:

"I wouldn't want to be facing them this weekend"
"They're gonna be looking to take it out on the next team they face"

What teams like Man Utd do is turn defeat and disappointment into anger and drive. Whereas many teams would become low on confidence and a little limp, bigger teams come out stronger to the point where some teams fear facing them after a bad result.

That's what Pards needs to put into the squad. If we get defeated, we should come out the week after with some frustration and even some anger to take out on the opposition and absolutely woop them.

Let's just hope Alan knows how to do it.

That's basically his explanation for leaving out Ben Arfa. Trying to rile him up for WBA.

I know SAF sets every player their own targets on and off the pitch to get the best out of them. Don't if Pardew does that but it could work.

Pardew dumped on his missus a few years ago so that only leaves shagging his microwave and I'm loathe to try that until I can work out how to remove this 'Prince Albert'.

  14. Hopefully HBA will be playing. 4-4-2 with target men would be playing right into their hands.
